I am excited to know that in my little town in Nigeria ,I actually listened to that first official album ,All hail king Jesus as a child. That means these albums were far reaching. Only heaven will reveal the extent those albums blessed lives. These albums were my anchor as a growing child and teen . Even now, I go back to these songs on KZitem.

Tom Brooks took gospel music to more homes than anyone ever did. The best arranger, his keyboard playing cuts straight to the heart, he's simply an example of what God can do through a yielded vessel. He's known strictly for gospel music and his love for God is so obvious. Grew up on his songs in the eightees and Nineties and still listen to them every night, such a blessing he is.

God bless you Travis... God used Tom Brooks to shapen my music career. I started to listen to his works through integrity music over 25 years ago. I can recognise a piano (mostly E. Piano) played today and tell you who played in the song. Everyone who knows me knows how much I talk about him and the Integrity music band. God bless Tom.

One of the best! Always glad to find Tom Brooks' generosity with information on worship both musical and from a spiritual dimension. I can tell it all came and comes from a depth in his own relationship with God. Thank God for Tom Brooks.

I can never get enough of all the albums that Tom Brooks produced and/or arranged. 'Til this day I have never stopped listening to those recordings and I prefer them compared to the praise and worship songs that are being released nowadays.

I really enjoyed this interview - and will enjoy watching the rest in the series. Thank you, Travis! You touched on an issue that I have been wondering for years: I grew up in the UK listening to the Hosanna album 'Lamb of God' (on cassette tape) led by Graham Kendrick only to discover years later that it was originally a US album featuring Jim Gilbert. I did a comparison listen and have wondered if the album is simply exactly the same backing track but with the lead vocal re-recorded in studio?? Tom didn't completely give it away, but I'm leaning more towards that is what was done. I've yet to see the album listed in Graham Kendrick's discography. (I'd love to ask him if I ever met him!)

Yes brother Tom you made the sound for integrity music. Gods given gift and strength you could have used this talent for the world but you offer it and give it back to the Lord. The Lord is please with you a d yiur staff and all the people that made this ministey what is is its still alive on this earth will live on forever why? Because its Gids word and the leading of his Holy Spirit. I named my cimpany Integrity multi services years back from your label and proverb 11 chapter.

Man, there always another new story regarding Ron Kenoly's "God Is Able" recording. The retakes, overdubs, technical goofs, and now the labor union issue prior to recording. I think Matthew Ward had just gotten diagnosed with cancer before that recording. We might need a documentary about that specific recording (and that Don Moen recording that same night). Also, Tom shouldn't be too hard on himself with how complex the Ron Kenoly albums became. He was going towards a more gospel-jazz sound; you hear that sound in a lot of black gospel music and inside predominantly black churches. It's no surprise black churches still sing some of those Ron Kenoly songs in 2024.

With regard to You Are My God: Right now on eBay, there is a CD with Jeff Hamlin's name on the back and a cassette with Ron Tucker's name on the back based on photos of the two products.
