Nars liquid blush has been very popular in Japan ever since it was released. I think people like it because it is sheer and easy to blend. It could be a good product for someone who likes natural looks and wants to blend it out with fingers.
@sashawhyte7396

You can't really use a heavy foundation under also. I think that's why. It has to go on bare skin or a skin tint to blend well or else it "eats" the blush. It's weird. I own the shade dolce vita.

I used to live in Japan and visit a lot, and a lot of Japanese youtubers I watch rave about those blushes. Although in Japan, people where very very light barely there makeup. I went again recently and for western standards my makeup is not too heavy but not no makeup, but in Japan I felt like I was wearing butt loads of makeup. They love sheer barely there looks there, and eyeshadows are so lightly pigmented and all natural colours as well.

And now that I see Pat McGrath stuff every time I go to TJ Maxx, I definitely don’t think it’s worth it, even as Rouge. I saw a ton of last year’s holiday stuff last weekend. And I totally agree about the skincare vaults, I’m always attracted to them but in the end if you don’t use everything you are wasting money.

Remember that other luxury brands usually destroy leftover stock from previous seasons in order to avoid this perception. If they lower their prices it interferes with their luxury image. Sometimes they create their own sale stores like Estee Lauder's Cosmetics Company store (they allow Mac and Clinique at TJ Maxx but not Tom Ford) or other luxury outlet stores. Most simply break and dispose the products in landfills or have them burned. PML deserves a lot of credit for allowing their products to be discounted and sold at easily accessible stores.

Morgan, You are so right about the FirmX by Peter Thomas Roth. It not only pills terribly, but leaves a white cast. The moment you put any liquid over it the “tightening” effect goes away. Powder over it looks super dry. Such a fail product but great idea in theory.

I’m not the biggest fan either, sits on top of the skin and I have to coax it into my skin to blend. I use a load of spf though, so a lot concealers people love don’t always work for me. Your skin care game is going to change drastically you once you hit 40. Saying that the Drunk Elephant kit is definitely directed to those clients and older. Most 20 to 30 year olds are not going to spend upward of $450.00. Also having this large set in a brand you trust pretty much guarantees you have products to try for unknown specific reasons.

Actually this is a very interesting video. And what you said at the end about the Charlotte Tilbury set makes totally sense. Today, I avoided buying the little set of lip masks by Laneige even if I use this product all the time and I love Laneige skin care products in general. I use my lip balm/mask every night, I love it but it makes my lips very dry in the morning, so dry that I have no compensate with some Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden! Why using a product which dries my lips and insisting on it to the point that I was even ready to try more of it? But when I read the negative feedbacks on Sephora saying the same thing as I do experience, I understood that I had to think twice before buying anything, no matter how cute or how yummy it can be on the lips.

The thing is to get the 30% or 35% discount at Pat McGrath’s customers have to purchase a specific dollar amount to get it. If you don’t spend the specified amount for the highest discount, you get bumped down to the next lower discount and so on. This is not a good value. It’s a trick to get you to spend more money. With the Sephora VIB sale it’s a straight discount based on your tier. I’d rather do that than spend more than I want to get 35% off.
