Here's my take: Seventeen of the worlds best pro bowlers... MISSING THE HEADPIN SO MANY TIMES! Unreal! And also... JASON. BELMONTE. This man was in 58th place after the first round of qualifying and somehow ended up winning the whole dang tournament. INSANE. Keep in mind that EJ Tackett was undefeated heading into this tournament. Belmo just handed him his first loss of the season, and the GOAT is on his own undefeated streak as he starts his season 6-0. Side note: Anyone else miss Chris Via's 1-2-3-4-5-7-8-10 washout at 5:23? 😂

I remember as a child watching the '94 TOC on tv, from this same Riviera Lanes, and witnessing how many bowlers could not string strikes together. I don't know whether it's the lanes themselves, or the oil pattern that they put down for the TOC, but it goes to prove how difficult this tournament is to win.

@@randomhuman2116 good point, also, it was harder to strike back then, so spare game was all the more crucial. Regardless, its still unacceptable. I can assure you, I am a better spare shooter than a lot of these guys. I am no where near their level of bowlers, but my spare game is rock solid. I average 226 in league, and last year I missed 1 10 pin in 96 games, and only 2 single pin spares. I am a super accurate spare shooter, as I was taught from a young age that making 10 pins and spares are the most important aspect of bowling. So my dad would coach me every week and we only focused on spare conversation and spare tactics for each spare. Greatest lessons I have ever learned. I am sure someone will bring up being on TV or on the big stage, but these guys missing spares are the best in the world and have tons of experience in these situations. Its so sad to see a title game destroyed over simple spare shots.

@@joaobaeta5440 Bro, who cares what their form looks like.. If it works, it works. Belmo's style and form is proving to be the most versatile and successful. Moreso than Simo, Jesper, Troupe, etc.. He has more side-axis rotation that allows him to come into the pocket super hard at more extreme angles, which is how he carries so well. For example in the TOC, look how many trip-4's and trip-10's Belmo had. The form is irrelevant if the result is successful. This is a true example of dont judge a book by its cover. Altho, Belmo's form and style isnt even bad. There are far worse than Belmo.
