I do all of this. I'll do a diamond painting, I'll make bath bombs or soap. Sometimes, I'll make resin pieces. Read. I'll get comfy and still not be able to sleep. It's basically when my body is so exhausted it can't handle anymore that I fall asleep. This has been worse the last 5 to 7 months. I can't pin point what triggered it. Usually I finally pass out about 5am. Meaning I'm sleeping until 10am sometimes 12. I'm always tired. Idk how much longer I can go on like this. I've had to rearrange my entire life around my odd sleep schedule. It's insane & I'm over it. The reason I do crafts is because I'll get anxious if I'm just sitting with my own thoughts. I have to keep my mind busy.

One thing that i do is build a world and create characters with specific traits, cities and locations with different cultures with my imagination. Takes me just 10 - 15 mins to fall asleep and its fun! I look forward to doing it every night. I tried reading and while it initially helped me, in the laters years when i was really tired and jittery after a long day I wasn’t able to concentrate or grasp anything i read. I opted for this and its been the best every since!

All these sources tell you to get out of bed if you can’t sleep in 15 minutes - that you’ll associate your bed with insomnia and worry. If I do this, one of three things will happen: - I won't sleep - I will fall asleep in the wrong room (bad sleep hygiene) - When I get sleepy and go back to bed I will once again be unsleepy, taking me back to where I started Thus why I take my phone to bed despite this being horrible sleep hygiene. Gives me something to do while I wait to fall asleep.

What I do to help me fall asleep is( still on bed): Praying Alphabet game ( pick a subject like produce and try to say a produce thst begins with the each letter of the alphabet, sometimes it is hard to do.) This one works well, cause I /you will usually fall asleep before I /you reach to Z. Saying an afirmmation, "God loves you, you can now can go to sleep!" Those help me go to sleep fast.☺🙏🏻💛❤🦋

Another thing that works very well for me is to get up and make a list of the things to do that I'm ruminating over. That tells my monkeys that I've heard them and won't forget in the morning so that they can go to sleep and not have to stay up reminding me over and over while I'm trying to fall asleep.

I have never had trouble falling asleep 🙌 Just the thought of a cozy bed makes me sleepy. My advice would be do not chill on your bed, bed is for sleep and condition your body that as soon as you lie on your bed you should sleep.

According to Dr.Weil, 90% of what you're hoping to achieve while sleeping, is reached by simply lying in a supine position. So lie there. Practice some breathing exercises, and then meditate. All of which can do nothing but help you. And when you're done, and you do this routine regularly, you'll be ready to sleep. That's the worst thing you can do is get up. You can't fix your circadian rhythm clock, by caving to what your body refuses to do. Get out of bed at the same time every day. And get off the coffee. Also no blue light for the last two hours of the day. Count your blessings. Many people have to sleep hungry. Counseling helps you sleep.

Listen to a audio book or podcast when you're sleepy, quickest way to goto sleep., when you jolt back up from sleeping in your chair you can quickly move onto the bed.
