I think you have missed the big selling point of the Mule "combo", that it is substantially less than what the Snap On version would sell for at probably $2,500. :)

I work in Architecture and over the years I have spent A LOT of time on jobsites here in central California. I see fans being used quite a bit, they are a necessity in buildings as they are being built (no AC yet). I "could" see a use case there, wanting a fan to push a lot of air, but the battery is weird add on unless you are working in areas without power, it might be handy, but think you would get more out of a Eco Flow added to your toolbox setup.

The only thing I can think of is that in a shop, when not in use it does more than stand there. But definitely not worth the money for a convenient portable fan stand

I don't know what they were thinking, Jeff. It just baffles me. I can't even think of a reason to put a fan and or a light on a hand truck. I personally will not be buying it. I think you gave the award to the right company. 😊😊 Thanks for the video. 😊😊❤❤😊

Couple of times I used a hand truck in the dark at past jobs while working night/early shifts, and the lighting wasn't working or very good, so I can see use of lights on it. But fan I don't know why.

Seems useful for a jobsite. People will pay $100 for a travel mug, so I'm sure people will pay several hundred for this thing. If Snap-On sold their own version of these, for say $1200, guys would be buying them.

I'm a DeWalt guy 💯% but that doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to be wasting $285 for black and yellow paint, because I have the tough system dollie and the DeWalt fan that I already have been using together now for years and I have lights that hook on the dollie so all I need is the batteries and the inverter to have the same thing, so no this DeWalt fan boy will not be paying $599.99 for a DeWalt wannabe hand truck.

The Edsel of hand trucks. 😂 When I’m using a hand truck, I’m usually moving something big, bulky and/or heavy. So adding weight and bulk right off the bat to the hand cart absolutely tops the list of bad ideas, and the price tag is just ludicrous. So guys at Mule: nice swing, but a huge miss!

I’m sorry. The integration is NOT a selling point in this case. If the DoT version breaks, I can replace what broke. If something breaks in the Mule version… I’ll be broke trying to fix it. The “partial” integration is a bigger selling point than you give it credit for.

Why do you want us to prove you wrong? You have 260,000+ subscribers. Why don't you buy one, and why don't you build one, and then compare them, and then when it's all said and done, raffle them off. That world be at least 2 videos worth of content, plus however you gain entries to the raffle; that can be monetized to recoup any expenses. As far as the cart-idea itself, as someone else mentioned, I'd add a cup holder. Who would use these?...maintenance guys in factories. If you're working in a cabinet chasing electrical, you may want your tool stack, a cup holder, and a fan; the same would apply if you're working outdoors, a mobile mechanic, a high-rise window washer, etc.. Sporting events: carry the Gatorade cooler, have a fan, and charge phones, cameras, tablets. You could put a folding TV tray/table on the back side of the hand truck to hold the cups, electronics, coaching supplies. Misting fans can be dolly-ish. A Gatorade cooler, a 24v Kobalt misting fan, a power station for a couple 24v kobalt chargers, and a cell phone charger. You'll be set whether you're at the campground relaxing, an all day car show, tailgating in the parking lot of the stadium, or sitting under the tree at your garage sale. How about construction workers, not everyone can drive their vehicle to the job site. They can pack a regular cooler with their drinks and food, when it's break time they can sit on the cooler with a fan blowing on them, while charging their phone. 🤷♂️

It's overpriced, but you're also way off on the hate. I have the numbers. Mule is selling a power station. And a cart. And you can combine them. Cart is $300 So power station (+ bracket) is $300. Combined $600 (And they do have separate SKUs) Your comparisons are off. People were buying the fan. I think we can assume they found value. The portable fan is not nearly the same. Meanwhile, you write off the power station like it's a regular USB charger. The power station is much better than you give it credit for: 250W (Peak 350W) 2 DC, 2 AC, 2 USB, 1 USB-PD (60W I think, which is good) 240Wh I think. (Most of this is from their press release). This is good. It's something I would use. I do own something nearly exactly like this. If you don't get why they're useful, that's fine. I desperately wished I had one a couple weeks back. If you need a portable one attaching it to a cart you will already use seems good (assuming you really want a fan cart). And you can run it like the old fan cart of an outlets. You can take the power station off. You lose nothing. Is the power supply worth an extra $300? I do not think so. What is it worth? A company like Mule will not invent a device like this. They will buy it. For that reason, we can find something similar. Or the exact product. The "Portable Power Station, 240Wh Lifepo4 Generators for Home Use, 240W Emergency Power Supply, 75000mAh Outdoor Solar Generator for Travel, Camping, Emergency and CPAP" from CTECHi is, I believe, the exact same box with different colors. The price: $170. So yes, it's overpriced. Even with the bracket. But it's much better than you think.
