I just bought one of these and I am beyond excited to use it! what type of wood is best? I want to make business signs :))
@HanDIYman007

Good choice! I'm not familiar with the kind of wood that's used for business signs but I imagine they should be water and heat-resistant since they will normally be installed outdoors. Best to ask your local hardware store.

I was wondering about the holes at the back, as you said it's for a rip fence/guide but there isn't a way to clamp it down if I do put a rip fence through
@HanDIYman007

The rip fence/guide should have its own clamp that you will set on the shoe plate. Is your rip guide made specifically for this b&d jigsaw?

Hey 007, I really enjoyed your video! 1st time to see your work. I was searching for a jigsaw because my huge saw is old-school. Plus we should work smarter, not harder, right? I will go run some errands tomorrow and will probably get this same jigsaw, along with some other hardware stuff. I look up products on KZitem, but usually can't find the same harware here where I live. So I'm really glad to see your vid of a product that's actually available. Thx again, stay safe. Greetings from Region-3!

after 3 years....oh yeah! it still works like new today. I did however, bought replacement blades since then because they became dull after many uses -- this is expected since blades are consumable materials.
