Thanks for the video. I couldn't figure out what the "cutting" feature was all about. Also I really appreciate the warning about how much oxygen this system uses.

Note to people new to this sort of thing (who are pretty much the only customers). The oxygen cylinders are so small and overpriced that you'll wish you'd bought a proper oxy-LP torch or oxy-acteylene torch in the first place. That's why they sell for peanuts at yard sales. Someone should sell a CGA-610 adapter to run the little oxygen regulators off a proper welding regulator (they're too weak for high pressure oxygen) so users can buy proper small oxygen cylinders for much less money over time.

Once you master lighting the flame...This is an okay unit to heat small tough to get in areas (in a pinch) Portable enough to drag out to the woods or put into the truck..... Plus you can just grab a cylinder at any 'Home center'(Whatever)......But for serious Cutting/ Gas-welding (whatever) It's no where near an Oxy/Acetylene set up

Thanks, looks like it's the same as the mastercraft kit. Good to see the flames, I was absolute crap 25 years ago at forgewelding until I actually saw what the heats looked like in person.

this rig and setup with the oxy is bs and a really bad investment,,you guys need to put more oxy in those tanks than a measly 1 cf or figure a better system that will last longer ,im not gonna spend 15 bucks on oxy every 10 min,,this is bs i would never buy such a setup,big rip off and you have no excuses for it,those tanks can hold 200 psi easy

I’ve had one of these for several years and only used like 3-4 times. Yesterday it was working fine until I ran out of oxygen, picked up another tank and now it won’t work properly. Flame blows out when the oxygen is turned on…no matter how slowly the valve is opened. No oxygen flow until it’s valve is half open; then, It’s too much. Very frustrating.

Small torch kit like this works very well, but the oxygen cylinders are extremely limited and will only do small joints before going empty. Now, if you arrange a small propane cylinder like the ones an outdoor grill uses with an oxygen concentrator, it gives you a lot more time to work with the joints. There are videos here on KZitem showing how some folks have set up theirs.

@@pheenix42 At that point, a different torch with changeable tips and handle-side control valves would be a much better investment than this thing flat out. I really dont like how the valves are all the way back at the bottles and theres no control at the handpiece, not to mention the fact the hoses cant be replaced so if something goes wrong you need a brand new unit

Nice torch. I bought one of those for small fab jobs. Great heat for the work. Definitely brazes and welds but really don't like how the oxygen goes so quickly. Does anyone know about how to hook this torch up to an oxygen concentrator machine?? I have seen it done with others but the valves were built into their torches.

Those disposable oxygen cylinders are a heinous ripoff. Best to get an industrial cylinder (used is fine since they're refilled by exchange, that's how I built my rather large welding gas cylinder collection cheap) and a CGA-540 regulator. Then get an oxygen hose barb for the output fitting of the regulator and connect that to your hose which may require minor fiddling with smaller hose barbs to match hose sizes up but that will be self-explanatory. If you already own a concentrator and only want to use the torch for bench use the connection depends on the concentrator output. If the concentrator is designed to feed a cannula it has it's own regulator so you can install any oil-free inline valve or stopcock with hose barbs that fit the hoses. I'd look into common plastic medical equipment parts for that.

Only one question why does the oxygen run out so quick
@Comm0ut
Жыл бұрын
Because the idea of such expensive disposable oxygen cylinders is fundamentally stupid (well, from the customer POV!) The trouble with disposable cylinders is they are low pressure so they hold little oxygen compared to the amount most people find useful. By the time the unfortunate buyer finds out they have to figure out how to make their kit more usable. A small industrial oxygen cylinder, CGA-540 oxygen regulator and suitable hose barbs to connect to the kit hose solve the problem and permit easy future upgrade to a better torch outfit. One can adapt to industrial cylinders or an oxygen concentrator but the really smart move is sell the thing then by a proper portable torch kit. These little kits are for customers who didn't really study torches and wanted something where they for whatever reason wouldn't have to visit a welding supply to exchange gas cylinders (a very common very low threat task about which there is zero need to be intimidated).
