Quick impressions of the Worx WG471 40V Powershare Cordless Snow Blower in heavy snow Buy from Amazon: amzn.to/2KJK9Xq Worx web page: www.worx.com/40v-20-inch-cord...
With lighter snows (4-8 inches) this think is fantastic and the charge is solid. We recently had a heavy snow and I actually used up the batteries before finishing, for the first time. I recently broke an auger (I think it slipped off the sidewalk and hit the edge of the curb...). You have to call Worx because I can't seem to find them online at all. Thankfully, they only cost 30$ and take 7-10 business days to arrive. Ask about faster shipping. I did, and for 4$ more I got it in 4 business days. Overall, I am quite happy with this blower and all the Worx tools (got the mini chainsaw for Christmas and made short work of our tree in just few minutes!). I think I have 6 of these Power Share Worx tools now and all are great.

Thanks for this video! I am in the same boat you were. I have the same Toro and found right away that I hated dealing with the cord in the snow. All I have is a sidewalk but it is far from the outlet. Fortunately, right after I got it, a nice neighbor moved a couple doors down and loved doing the entire side of the block. It doesn't take much time to do what I need to do, however. I have numerous Worx tools and love my mower the most. I have to get this because it looks like my neighbor stopped since a newer neighbor moved in between us and I think they are having issues lol

That's waaaay better that I thought it would be. That still looks like pretty powdery snow, but still very impressive

What I noticed are as follows also. * It does have enough power and 1 feet is no problem. I just take off the first 10 inch and continue to go down. * It does eat up the batteries quickly although I did manage to clear out 5 to 6 inch snow with normal 2 car drive way (not short) and side walks. * It is so light that I took it to everywhere, including the back patio and front porch. * It is so light that I even tried it on its side (basically to shave a wall around my post box) and it did work. * You can put in normal 2 Ah batteries but the blower will not start. Guess it will check capacity when it starts. * The blower does have some weird problem with know-off 4 Ah batteries (pretty much 1/2 the price). Basically, it will not start at earlier time. Not sure if it is related to battery temperature sensor or juice left. * Some improvements could be done. For example, it is not designed to stand up to save space when the green one does. Have fun!

How long does the battery last on a full charge? 5min? 30min?

@@kenplaysviola Feels more like 20 minutes for around 7 inches. I did count area and snow depth but not time.

Helpful, thanks. That said, at this price point, I want a metal auger with replaceable rubber edges.

Did you have a problem with chute crank? Mine will not turn. I’m still using a couple 18 volt batteries when I bought my first weed trimmer over 15 years ago. Naturally they don’t last as long. I hope the 20 volt batteries do as well.

The crank works well to quickly flip it from left to right. It's too fast to make small precise adjustments, just easier to grab and move the chute. Pretty much the same as the Toro

I picked up 6 amp hour batteries when I got a Worx mower. They do give more run time. Did I hear you right that it took 3 battery charges to complete your driveway? I'm looking to get this blower. I already have four 4 amp hour batteries and two 6 amp hour batteries.

It did, but this was 12-24 inches of heavy snow, so I certainly would expect it to need a lot more energy than usual. WIth two sets of batteries you should be ready to tackle pretty much anything. Thought it may drain the batteries fast with heavy snow, the real key here is that the motor is strong enough to handle it, even stronger than my old plug in snowblower.

Does anyone know how to actually tighten the orange clips that holds the bars in place? Because of its construction you can’t actually tighten the nut all the way down to the metal like how I was able to do so on the other works machines I have, so the handles and everything are all extremely loose and I don’t know if I’m doing this wrong or not I know tutorials online have actually shown the assembly.

You just spin them clockwise to tighten, and then clamp

Yup, me too... Got the Worx 40v trimmer and it's great. I also have the 20v Worx AI drill, which is sorta okay. The $400. price tag on the Worx snowblower is a bit steep for me. I wish I could use my existing 40v battery, but Worx keeps finding a way to make my Worx batteries not interchangeable, so I'm prolly going to get a SnowJoe.
