It’s been 3 months but I still think about the unagi from Obana. This was the best grilled freshwater eel that I have ever had. Some extra info if you want to eat here:
For lunch, there are only 2 rounds, each round serves about 20-22 people. By the time I arrived at 10:40 am (50 min before opening), the first round was already full and I had to wait for the second round. To eat in the first round, I highly recommend arriving more than 1 hour early before opening.
For itinerary purposes, please note that it takes 30-40 minutes for them to grill each order of eel and they do not start cooking until you are given a table. I know the wait is long but it was definitely worth it in my opinion.
