Funnily enough, the Breeders Cup is not taken all that seriously (or considered important) outside the US. European trainers send their horses there for the money, but nobody here remembers any of the winners. It's the Arc that counts, followed by Royal Ascot, the King George, the Derby (of the UK, France, and Ireland), the Melbourne Cup, and the Japan Cup. Even the Meydan World Cup is more popular. Moreover, you have no idea if the ground was ideal for Ace Impact. Most races in France are run on soft.

@Grizzly bear Form wise, it puts Ace Impact up their with Augustine Rodin, if you take the Dante form of Epictetus and Continuous seriously, and how can you mention Savethelastdance? She handled the ground well enough or she would have been staying on second.

Given what we have seen at Royal Ascot, we have some very clear form lines. Ace Impact and August Rodin are the ONLY 2 people can concentrate on. August Rodin should confirm he is a very good 12 furlongs horse in the Irish Derby necxt week. September will be interesting, where will they both go for the warm up to the big one, we can probably say Ace impact will go for the Arc trials at Longchamp. Both horses handle soft ground, but both would definitely prefer good ground. A scintillating shoot out awaits.

They're the typa horse you love to ride, own or train. Those horses that can run on super strongly in the hottest part of the race. He ran through the line so the step up to 1m 4f looks ideal. He reminds me of Zarkava, or Zenyatta. They had that last to first running style, to me that style of running when it's done right is always visually the most impressive, just going past one horse after another. Just checked the odds for the Arc. 10-1 for an impressive unbeaten French Derby winner ? I don't think the Japanese horse (Equinox) who is co FAV for the Arc will line up. Seems like every year there's always some Japanese world beater, who runs a great race, then u neva hear from them again. But we'll see. I cud b wrong. The A.O.B English Derby Winner who is co fav Augsuste Rodin? A.O.B has won the English derby 9 times but how many of them have been truly great ? None. Look at Timeform top rated horses of all time on wiki. Not one A.O.B horse makes the top 50. Even the famed Gallileo was more known for what he did as a sire, rather than what he done on the track. and A.O.B has a terrible arc record. A.O.B hasn't had a See The Stars, Frankel, Enable, Treve, Dubai Millennium, Zarkava, Flightline never mind giant iconic horses like a Mill Reef, Njinksky Sea Bird, Dancing Brave He hasn't had a generational horse. The typa horses that ppl will talk about in 30 or 40 years time. Maybe Augustus Rodin can change that but even if he is great, we are only gonna see him run 3 more times. I thought St Mark's Basilica cud av been that true great horse for A.O.B but the A.O.B way is to cart his very best off to stud at 3.
