Point of Correction Friend: Mexico strictly enforces its laws for non Mexicans to reside. Mexico is a stable country. The ppl crashing into the U.S. are claiming asylum. Asylum is for people facing certain violence in their home country. Many , not all, are coming to make US dollars. Imagine the ppl from many countries applied to come to US . They had their place in line some waited years to immigrate only to see caravans and cartels bring in Millions of ppl into the country. It’s two tiered which is unfair to ppl that applied. Republicans do not blame the individual wanting better- they find fault with non enforcement at the southern border where fentanyl flows in, children are levered for human trafficking and disappeared into dark abuse rings. Funny thing is US citizens are fleeing D.C, Philly, Chicago, Memphis, and other places in part because of random assaults, random murders, open air fentanyl addicts, skyrocketing rents and evictions. On the website called the Gun Memorial, you can the the human victims of mass shootings Every Weekend in the U.S. All the cities with murders and evictions are all democrat mayors, prosecutors and police chiefs.

What's up brother, former Meridiano good to see you are doing well followed you for a while good energy. Got off the peninsula no more el infierno de diablo...2 summers that was enough plus lived in a Yucatecan colonia for 15 of my 20 months in Merida and got to observe and see the real Yucatecan culture I will just say pros and cons. So again always enjoyed your channel and did not really care for expat community in Merida it was very cliquish just bullshit. Anyway been in Oaxaca 4 months such a nice change...climate is fantastic, city is beautiful, is Mexican not Yucatecan Yallalueh, glad I spent time in Merida but oversold starting meeting Mexicans/my Spanish was better, Merida who told me the real deal of Merida is a bunch of romanticized hype...it is criminal how Merida is packaged to extranjeros...good luck brother wish you all the best.

In my younger years, yes... I made a ton of money but fell in depression and lost it all... Which is one of the reasons we moved here so i can reset and get back on track. But a house like this in the States would be astronomical nowadays.

I am curious. In your opinion, what would be the cons of creating a business in another country, instead of the United States, while living in Mexico? Are there benefits to having a business in the United States instead of somewhere else? Thanks.
@MoveAbroadandThrive
Жыл бұрын
A biz in the US would allow you to earn and collect US dollars (it's the US dollars that is allowing you to have a good quality life in countries like these where your dollar go further. The average earnings per day here in Mexico is something like the equivalent of $12 per day (that's an estimate). If your biz is here, you'll earn in pesos (which is strong right now), but the person earning $12 per day can't pay a lot for your goods and services. So if I offered web design services here, I might be able to get something like $200-$300 ($4000-$6000 pesos) from a local business owner. Where in the States, I could charge a business about $3,000-$5,000 for a basic website). You want to earn US dollars because right now, for every $1 US dollar, you get about $17 pesos. More dollars equal more pesos, which equal you getting a lot more stuff for less... Hope that makes sense.

Welcome. Very difficult to get a job here in Mexico (jobs are given a priority to locals). Average income here is like $12 per day (you won't be able to live on that), which is why it's important for you to earn US dollars (that's the reason why it is very affordable for US citizens making the move here ... They're living on US dollars). Try and land a remote/virtual job to earn those dollars and work from anywhere in the world. Check this out: www.moveabroadandthrive.com/how-to-find-remote-work/

There are a variety of ways he could have qualified. A person may have low monthly retirement income, but may meet the solvency (lump sum in their account). Some folks may have been born here and raised in the US and came back... Other's may have married a local. There are some special programs folks qualify for (we did). So there are a variety of options. Important to speak with an immigration attorney to find out. Things are always changing
