saw the Brave New World tour in 2000 twice, the Rock in Rio DVD tour... That setlist was amazing, that DVD from Rio is insane. (same with En Vivo) I saw that show in Portland Maine with maybe 3500 in the audience.... they still killed it like there was a million. just saw them in Montreal for the 35th time since 1982. always on top of their game. their music is made to be played live anyway

cool - there's a lesson there for singers. How come the likes of Adele and Jess Glynne need time off for broken vocal chords? Because their throaty voices use bad technique. [but that's what made their voices unique - so I don't blame them] Whereas the likes of Bruce, and Floor Jansen, and Tom Jones use good technique which doesn't strain their vocal chords .. and is extremely powerful for decades.

I have never met a metal elitist that even considers Maiden to be in nearly the same vein as glam metal. But I could be wrong. There are some serious idiots in this world

I was 16 when I first heard this. I'm 53 now. I so loved this song, especially being a teenager from Tampa, Fl. In case you didn't know, metal music is huge there. Probably because Tampa is like the Vatican to the Satanic Church! Don't get me wrong, these guys are not about evil, more about reflecting on the evil that men do! Huge difference. In a way, they are a good source of change in how horrible we are to each other.

Thank you for reacting to my favourite band, and probably their best song. BUT, it would be nice to know what YOU actually thought of the song, not just your summary of the lyrical meaning. Do you like rock music like this, or is it not your thing? Just curious to know whether you found it cool, and which instrument sound you liked best? When you put Iron Maiden in the title, you're audience is likely to be 95+% Iron Maiden fans, so we will (mostly) know the sings back to front, inside out. Mostly people will click to find out how you react to the song, not so much the lyrics. I hope you do more Maiden....if you liked this, I would recommend 1) Phantom of the Opera, 2) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (live in 1988), 3) Infinite Dreams (again live from 1988) and 4) Rime of the Ancient Mariner (live in 2008). Peace and love :)

I used to be able to hit these notes for the duration years ago. I cant any more due to various reasons. But its s as d to see that only vocal coaches are the only ones that really appreciate what he does. And the rifts are very catchy. Last but not least, this is a masterpiece thetraticly...
