Basically, the OEM runflat Michelin PSS are stiff because they're made for the track, whereas nonrunflat are better for the streets for acceleration and a comfortable ride.
A 20 lbs reduction of unsprung weight, especially at the tire's perimeter, is like gaining 12 wheel horsepower at all rpm. Rotational mass is worse than static mass.
A towing service is going to be there for you in 30-60 minutes so I don't need runflats, just carry a portable air pump.
My 2017 Corvette Stingray with manual transmission...no more fishtailing due to 465 lbs of torque (300 lbs at 1000 rpm! gmpowertrain.c....
More performance due to less rotational inertia (rotating mass) from the lighter non runflat tires.
FRONT: Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (PS4S) non RunFlat tires 245/40/18
REAR: Michelin Pilot Super Sport (PSS) non RunFlat tires 295/35/19 , OEM was 285 wide.
NOTE: My OEM Michelin Super Sport runflat front tires lasted 19k miles and the rear tires could go for another 3 months (3k miles). My tires are staggered sizes and can't be rotated so the warranty is 15k miles instead of 30k miles.
The Michelin PS4S tires are 1 lb lighter than the Michelin PSS.
The Michelin PS4S tires are lighter than the Continental Extreme Contact Sport.
The Michelin PSS and the Continental Extreme Contact Sport weigh the same.

A heavier rim with a smaller diameter could have less rotational mass than a lighter rim of a larger size, and accelerate faster with the same force applied.

8/20/2019 update: To gain more acceleration performance, I put 35 psi in front and 32 psi in the rear.
