Harsh but beautiful country and the vision you guys provide is just stunning. Impressed with the facilities to cater for hikers - well thought out. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Only just discovered your channel - all I can say is EPIC. You showcase this beautiful beautiful country flawlessly. I am hoping to hike the Canyon next year with friends, but I was under the impression that the hike is 4-5 days. And had no idea about those two overnight huts - which version of the hike did you do? P.s. your photography skills are off the charts. Congrats on a stunning video.

You have taken your cinematography to a new level of excellence with this video ! The night sky filled with stars was simply stunning. I have backpacked and camped in very remote areas in the US but none approached the clarity and sheer impossibly large number of stars visible in Fish River Canyon. Love the rustic camps and "loo with a view" !

Hello from Alberta Canada. Excellent choice for a land excursion have done the Grand Canyon the Fish River Canyon is certainly equal in most respects. However the true isolation and night sky at Fish River definitely superior,. I've been watching since the Cape of Storms episode, and I love the content y'all put out. No other documentary / vlog series (Including professional tv documentaries) has been able to so perfectly show the wonder and awe in Sailing, History, and the World. In a world where far too much of history (Especially for kids) is about memorizing dates and specific events, your content provides the kind of nostalgic 'Tales of old from faraway lands' that works as a sort of gateway drug to history. Your content somehow manages to encapsulate the feeling of a story-telling session with a well-traveled grandparent or old salt sailor. Keep up the good work. You're storytelling ability is so far unparalleled! Fair winds and Following Seas, -J

Matt & Amy Hi. I have been watching your videos for quite a while now. Your video coverage and quality is amazing. I watch your video's whilst having dinner and relaxing after work. What a journey you guys have had so far. Not every leg has been great but I am sure you will agree the majority have been amazing. It was a great idea you decided to try scuba diving as you were travelling to some amazing diving destinations. I am a dive master and have been diving for many years. I am living in the UK and was also at sea with the merchant navy. I am originally from the Island of St. Helena in the south Atlantic. If you are heading that way I will ask my friends there to take you out diving. Larry "Nails" Thomas who runs the local dive club or his son Anthony "Nails". Just ask anyone on the harbour to put you in touch with them....actually the yacht club and dive club are next to each other on the harbour. My name is Mike but like my friends I also have a nickname "Cookie" Have fun and fair winds across the Atlantic.

Amy and Mat, can I be indebted for watching another episode of TV serial, the best on on sailing and wild nature? Thank you for offering me this opportunity. Believe it or not but I am trying to pay my debts by praying for you, meaning praying for the grace which could broaden, increase your love. You help me to understand that God created the world beautifully; we can admire deserts, the whole ocean, forests, rivers, mountains, cannot we? So I hope that peoples around the world would soon understand the tragedy of the war in Ukraine. This war is a continuation of ill idea of Stalin and Hitler to conquer Czechoslovakia, Poland, then other European countries 70 years ago. Russia won and never has been punished for murdering millions of people. Germany suffered a bit but their people did not drop off the thinking of creating the 3rd German Reich. Basically it is the reason why the Russian Impire started war in 2014 against Ukraina and restarted the war three months ago once again. If they win, we will not be able to watch your series on sailing around the world. Practically majority of countries in Europe will disappear. Neither Germany nor France and even Italy will be punished for cooperation with barbarians from Kremlin. I want to have opportunity of watching your serial. I want many sailors to moor at new marinas which have been recently built in my home country. Amy and Matt I also want you to go hiking in deserts and bushes. Hike and sail safe now and in the years you have to live. Slava Ukraine which is fighting to make it happen.

Looks so familiar to me . Did that trip 40 years ago and hitch-hiked about 16 times through South West Africa /Namibia. Its an amazing environment which looks after itself. Another major fascination is the meteorite nearby which struck in 1902 . It is an iron one about 12 ft in diameter . The hottest temperature I ever hitch-hiked in was also nearby on the national road north to Mariental . It was a boiling 51 Celsius . On that day I drank 14 litres of water and sweated out every drop with none to have a leak. I had to sit because I felt so faint. Only stood up to wave a car down every now and again. Thanks to water and my spare sugar and salt to add otherwise I would have passed out.

I live on a small plot of land in NZ, I also have and open air lavvy where I can watch the world go by. Mine is nowhere near that lavish or spectacular, but I do, on occasion, fly my drone from there and it has a wonderful valley view. It was once an old country school restroom, school long gone but the toilet still remains 90yrs on. Nothing like open air comfort and a view to kill. Lovely video as always.

Even if I must admit that my dream is very far from trudging through a canyon in Namibia under a blazing sun, I must admit that this video is superbly shot, that the landscapes are impressive and majestic, and that the quality of the shooting, the editing and musical accompaniments achieve here a rare quality.
