I'm not a big fan of turning off features especially RT. Once you start compromising, it diminishes the results. I can compromise myself down to playing WoW @ 4k with a 1060 6GB if I want with ok framerates. I did this while waiting for a new GPU and leveled through Shadowlands with a 1060 6GB @ 4k low settings. Ugly, but playable. For me personally, the idea is to turn on all the eye candy and see which cards rise to the top at 1080p, 1440p and 4k. I play at 4k. The outdoor raid bosses in Bastion and Ardenweald can hit the fps pretty hard too with Ultra 10 RT enabled @ 4k. BTW, I love the channel. As someone who has played WoW since January 2005, your focus and dedication to WoW and relative performance with a wide array of hardware is top notch.

Haven't seen any videos from you lately. Glad you're back. I'm hoping you can test SAM with Zen 2 cpu's on B450 boards with the beta bios that ad re-bar support with the RX 6800 XT if you ever decide to do that. Great review as always.

Thanks for the video, i find with WoW some of the settings reduced will give really good FPS boosts and not really change the look, like SSAO.

thanks for making hardware videos in warcraft:) and i can add that you should look up latency videos, v-sync should never be used, a framerate cap is better. if you have gsync or freesync display then it important that you cap framerate a few fps lower than monitor refresh rate. ingame or msi afterburner is way to set framerate caps. by the way i still am waiting for hardware to be in stock so i can build a new pc and get into warcraft again. i missed the launch but still never too late to get into wow:)

On a 3080/8700k, thinking about a 5900x/5800x or a 10900k/10850k......(not sure about the 11900k). Think i can get more min fps improvements with the additional ipc improvements?

Hey very nice video as always, could you have a look at 3000 ryzen + 6800xt + sam and ram timings/MHz in WoW shadowlands. And compare with a 5000ryzen and intel 10-11 series? Plzplz

I'm thinking on getting this card together with a ryzen 9 5900X. I noticed you used a ryzen 5 5600X, since my build is an upgrade compared to yours, Can I expect better performance maybe? Also, can anyone recommend a good monitor...Thanks for your reviews btw

Hello there. I know nothing about computers and want to get back into gaming -I haven't played wow since 2012. Would anyone be able to help me find a gaming PC for shadowlands that will handle anything. Looking to spend £1800 tops. Does anyone have any recommendations? Would be so grateful. Many thanks. :)
