I acknowledged that lady you mentioned. But what kept them in was the First Lady. Because if she had stopped, this historical comeback before our eyes would be in the realm of imagination or impossible thought realm of conversation. Her ability to pick up herself in the face of a quashed hope, that courage instinct is amazing, and her fall 🔥ed the rest which culminated in uncommon victory. Even spectators + fans who came to give their support, within a split of that incident, became those girls' fans and supporters club.

@@joeevett9007 wrong it’s about your training not the anger. Especially when it’s about the time. In a relay race you have to run your race not rely on the next person to be better, it’s supposed be where the next person can run faster and the next person can top running faster, your supposed to feed off the energy of your teammates. I know because I’m a 3x All American track and field Athlete. Imagine you saying you only ran b/c you were angry and then run an amazing time but can’t ever run that time again😮💨 that’s embarrassing at the next meet😂🤣 you gotta come with the energy of wanting it more than anyone else!❤️

The lady at the second exchange was phenomenal at closing the gap and getting the team back in the race. The lady at the third exchange blazed to first position while the lady at the fourth exchange acted like she was in the last position and simply entered god mode! Excellent example of teamwork and getting back on your feet despite an initial setback. Michigan alumni, and member of Michigan track team back in the day. This is great to see, but seriously, they must have been running against high school teams. This wasn't even a competitive race. Each Michigan runner was better than the competition by 3-4 seconds per 400M. That's not even in the same league. Maybe they were running against DII or DIII teams. I guarantee this doesn't happen against similar competition. Hardly qualifies as greatest come back ever.

@StaceMan ha ha you are something. So Michigan sends its' A team yet Michigan St, Ohio St, and Purdue sent its' B or C squads according to you. Michigan finished with a time of 3:42 WITH a runner falling. Arkansas won the NCAA women's indoor 4x400 championship last year with a time of 3:27. Michigan was only 15 seconds behind that time with a runner falling, so yes what they did was incredible.
@staceman7981
Жыл бұрын
@@scottjalbert8652 Sorry, not incredible at all. That NCAA time works out to an avg leg of just under 52 seconds. For college women, that is a great avg time. Michigan's time of 3:42 (with an athlete falling) works out to an avg leg of 55+ seconds. For DI college programs, that sucks. You could expect that Michigan probably would have run something in the 3:35 range without the fall (thats 53+ per leg which is pretty good but not NCAA champion caliber). But for the other teams to run well worse that 3:42 (55+ avg leg) at the DI level in college is an embarrassment. Those are high school times at best. That's why Michigan falling and winning with a crap time against horrible competition is not a great comeback.
