I'm quite happy with my mini Ryobi blower, great for getting the last bits of water out of the panel gap, mirrors and scuttle panel. It's also small enough to use in the interior. I also love my Turtle Wax Wet Wax too much as a drying aid.

just my opinion on the bigboi handheld blower. If you dont extend the cable (most of us wont) then you dont need to worry about the unravelling it all. it literally takes 10 secs to get it ready. the only real downside is you either need to have plenty of power sockets around your car so you can unplug and plug into the next. or you plug into an ext. cable and you do one side of the car and then the other. i personally dont see it as a major problem.
@Killswitch85

and tbh paying £250+ for a cordless one compared to around £100 (with promo) for the bigboi, i think youd have to get some serious use out of it or have the rest of the kit

@cdg3818 I do have a cordless blower but other than just blowing water off the car I personally don't see the point in that part of the wash. I wash with normal tap water, spray down with Angelwax blue rinse and deionised water then rinse with deionised water. Then just leave it to dry, unless I'm doing a full decon wash, clay and wax etc. Then I wouldn't use a rinse aid. 151 resin is ace for hard water. No streaks or water marks

I think when choosing a blower to dry your car, obviously if you have an existing battery platform, it makes sense to stay with it . If not it worth considering whether you need or would like to add power tools or some garden kit . I find the Stihl 36v garden kit very good. Totally agree with your views regarding China . Look at steel industry and motor industry it’s all going that way.

According to the Flex website the offer only applies to tools with rrp of £259 plus vat, so this doesn’t qualify unless the actual rrp is way more than retailers are selling for. Also fifty quid cheaper from garage therapy which also claims to be eligible for the free battery. £120 for a 5ah battery is not good value. Even if the tool on its own was £130 it would still be the same price as the equivalent Dewalt/Makita with a battery and a charger, which is not included in the offer. No question that Flex are quality tools but there are ridiculously overpriced imo.
@ForensicDetailing

they could be awesome. But the risk is all the manufacturing and design will go to china to reduce costs. If they go that way then long term they are destined to fail. they have a good niche with polishing and had shown an interest in the polishing niche even when its not a big market. will be hard for them to compete with DW/Makita here. The more cool german engineer'd stuff they innovate the better, the more generic chinese stuff they make the worse. they also have little to no interest or investiment to social media. I dont even think they know I exist and love their tools.
