Jake has confirmed that the ZP-1 will be shipped to me the week of July 8th. I'll use it daily on my bench for a month and then post a full review. From what I've seen to date, it's premium.

Can’t wait to see a full review. So keen to buy but would like to see someone review it first. Thanks for the video !

ETA on the review? Looking forward to it. Was curious about how the "anti-static chamber" worked so I watched a Chinese reviewer who had two of them. The auto-translated caption mentions a plasma generator and in the video he cut those two little tubes behind the grind chute, revealing two metal prongs that should be from the ionizer. Still unsure, I emailed WPM and they replied with "The ZP-1 is equipped with an ionising unit to reduce static, so RDT is not required."

@dodiiiiiiii Sorry for the delay but definitely out this Friday. And yes, true: no RDT required. The ionizers work well but like all of them not if you are doing say 5 grinds back to back. Its quite a special machine with that upper burr carrier/chamber removal, one hand, small push, twist and pull and out it comes. Genius design.

that disassembly is amazing. Id be cleaning every day! Just cleaned out my timemore 64s and it took ages and was tedious. if the price is right ill look into it for sure!

I cannot get the grind fine enough for espresso. Really odd.

@@mrgazillions you need to recalibrate and move the indicator to the zero point i.e. burrs touching. Mine now for espresso hovers around 2-3 mark

Man this, Philos or DF64v?! I wonder how this will be available in the US as well post sales support. Never even knew of this until saw along with your Philos video. I also wonder how similar or different the burrs taste overall in that DLC ‘chocolate-decent clarity’, i200D balance sweetness-acidity w/lighter roast better than MP per HB limited reviews and i289D balance texture-flavor “roastness” darker roasts and where Cast and HU fit in. Wonder how the variable speed works compared to DF64v this ZP-1 if smoother less stalling. Paralysis by Analysis territory shoot.

I'll let you know. I have one arriving in a few weeks for a full review. Ib the flesh it looks very high quality. Smaller footprint than the Philos, possibly tighter tolerances than the DF64V. Most likely closest in price to the Philos. At this stage I'm thinking it's closest competitor in terms of build quality is going to be the P64.
