EXCELLENT! Thank you! I didn't think I'd be subject to a whole lot of technical information and theories on how the Titanic sank on her maiden voyage Yes, why the Titanic was going so fast at night in a known ice field will probably never be answered. I really like the colorized photos you used in this production. Were the taken from other sources, or did you do the colorization?

Your video is added to the long list of inaccurate worthless videos, the lack of lifeboats, isn't do to the negligence of the white star lines or the board of trades, so, there is no criminal act of negligence, the Titanic met and exceeded the amount of lifeboats required by the board of trades, Captain Smith was also found not at fault either,as far as the iceberg, the North Atlantic was unusually warmer for that season, causing icebergs to travel much further than usual, infact there was pack ice, field ice, and icebergs, also, the Carpathia wasn't the closest ship infact there was other ships closer, Californian was about 30 miles away, but,was stopped for the night, because of the iceberg warnings, yes they could have easily saved the Titanics passengers, but,she was stopped, and her radio operator had turned his set off for the night, she only had one radio operator, he shut down for the night and went to bed before Titanic sent out her first C.Q.D(come quick distresse), now, Fleet didn't say berg ahead, Fleet said,(calling bridge) iceberg right ahead,

Thank you for this interesting video. There are many theories about what happened. I remember watching one detailed documentary which included material for the court case. It was said that (i can't remember the reason) but the captain had to maintain the high speed else fuel levels would run out before they reached the US port. Also they would be late arriving on the published time. It was a significant lack of fuel that would leave them something like hundreds of miles offshore and stranded in the Atlantic. Also (after many delays in departure date, hence embarrassing news headlines for the company), they could not afford another delay, but found some issues at the point of departure, and decided to address them en route. Their main concern was the publicity of a successful launch - finally, and to deal with any issues secretly, hiding the. from public view. One issue was a fire in one of the 4 bulkheads, which could weaken the watertight door to the adjoining bulkhead. They departed with the fire still going which they had trouble extinguishing. Anothrr issue was fuel as mentioned, but this wasn't discovered until after they had departed. I cannot remember the other (smaller) issue.
