I found myself humming this today after not hearing it for 40-odd years! So pleased I could come here and find it… down side is I now have an ear worm I won’t shake for weeks 😄

Just got this song as a memory in my mind.. thought it was from the 60’s-70’s. So cool that I could find it. The melody and words still sits in my head…

very funny that in the 80s tv ads were still using the same structure and feel as ads in the 60s

@@gaisle The earliest version of Take on me was the Juicy Fruit Song by The Bridges. The Bridges were a band from Norway which included two of the future members of A-ha (Paul Waaktar Savoy and Magne Furuholmen). They are quoted in saying that they based the song and the name off the commercial.

I could sing the lyrics to this and I didn't even speak English when it aired in Swedish cinemas. Learned it verbatim 🤓

I remember this tune being the radio commercial in the UK, but the lyrics were "a packet full of flavour".

Not 90s. Perhaps mid 70s and some footage was recycled in an early 80s version.
