Yes, Perfect Strangers was one of my favorite sitcoms. Sitcoms had a lot of heart, a moral lesson, a lot of jokes back in the 80s and 90s. Bronson Pincho was in Beverly Hills Cops. They should have also put Jalleel White in it. Also, he should be in Lethal Weapon.

A perspective of mine that has changed as I age is how I feel for performers when their only successful contribution to society is essentially a singular role, one hit wonder, etc. Because when you're young and optimistic you judge or feel bad for someone who was only successful or known for one thing. Like I'd think Jaleel was a failure bc he couldn't do anything else big. But as an adult and seeing just how hard and unfair the world is no matter what effort or intent you put in, I'm almost jealous of Jaleel in a sense now. Because most of us should be lucky enough to even do one thing that has had such a profound effect on society and brought so much joy to people. That one thing is more than most, and it's something, in my opinion, he should be proud of. And also there seems to be many negatives for too much "success" or popularity. It may be nice to have little drama and just loved for one thing.

Last time I've seen him, he was writing about how he wishes people saw him as the flexible actor he is. Given his recent roles, it tries to show. And as someone who wants to be unattached to one quirky, but talented "line." of a character, I understand his' rage towards urkel. Seeing him embrace it is nice, but it's kinda sad. Urkel is just merchandise now and Family Matters fan's kinda hate how other characters just kinda disappeared. But seeing him as that 3D sonic in that fan video was nice, and the cool thing about sonic is, his' voice always changes, so it's not as uncanny as 2D urkel sounding off.

I'm surprised the animated movie didn't wind up a continuation of Steve Urkel's life where he's married to Laura Winslow and have children. That could've introduced Urkel's child who would receive his 'torch'. The animated Christmas movie only showed the Winslow house and never even mentions any member of the Winslow family. I assume this was the potential 'pilot' for a 'What if...Steve Urkel had an animated series or specials with its own universe?' I don't know if it'll make enough money for more specials when I only heard about it on KZitem, especially when we know who tends to make animated projects into tax write-offs.

I love this dude, and had no idea of any of appearances that he had before or after. So, this past month I finally started from episode 1 of family matters, and I am sincerely confused. Jaleel has mentioned many times his first episode was number 12 (or 14 🫣excuse me) however he was in the intro scenes for 2 or 3 episodes before that?!? What am i missing? I think it is episode 5 or 6 that he first appears, and then had one or more into scenes in episodes before his first “debut” episode?

Steve and Laura was just the same as Ross and Rachel just with the difference of never having anything until the end. BUT they are so the same as both Steve and Ross had so much more in life that actually made them happy than what they were chasing after which was more of just a fantasy then those who actually liked them for them in reality. They were clouded by the girl next door and both Laura and Rachel knew this and used it to every advantage to always keep them close and always giving false hope that one day it could be even when they were actually happy with someone else while all the long losing interest in Laura and Rachel which drove them mad and could not accept they were replaced so they had to interfere at every chance they could to ruin what was actually better for Steve and Ross in their lives then to accept they were no longer wanted. They would keep them down and tease that it could be, but then opps, sorry, it cant. I could never understand how audiences bought into that crap. How many times did Rachel screw over ross, as much so knowing that she would screw up his wedding all cuz rachel was single and sad with her selfish life. Rachel and Laura never could accept the fact that Ross and Steve moved on and it didnt include them and it just bothered them so much. Why does no one see this? why do they look at this with blinders on and think its just a cute love story. NO ITS NOT!!!! go back and watch these shows. See how they would dangle that carrot in front of them all the time and would pull it back once they got just close enough to only push them back down to make themselves feel better.

I tend to agree with those people who say Urkel saved the show. I've gone back and re-watched the series many, many times over the years and before Steve came aboard, it was charming and heartfelt, but it really wasn't funny. Probably would've been a solid 3 season run. It's just how it worked (At least back then), you give the people what they want for the sake of ratings. They wanted Urkel, boy they certainly got him. Sadly, even that ran its course and Family Matters became more of a hooky science fiction comedy with Transformation Chambers, Teleportation Pads, Evil Ventriloquist Dummies, or Urkel randomly working at a Japanese restaurant.
