Two of my favorite comics talk. I didn't know that Gary did WTF until I looked it up. My wife and I saw Gary live in Ann Arbor and were supposed to see him with our kids in 2020 in Chicago but the pandemic killed it.

I saw Diner with a friend in the theater when we were about 14. We were bored out of our skulls and walked out. Senior year in high school we were hanging out with a couple of girls watching TV and landed on Diner and laughed about how bad it was. But since the girls were into Mickey Rourke we watched and my friend and I were like "how did we walk out on this? This is great." Shows how much a person matures during high school.

Wow Marc Maron really did a nice job of reframing that crazy time when Gulman was dating that narcissist from hell and losing a farm house. Such a great moment and generosity to point out all his gains from those experiences. That was really nice to hear that

Cool,....His schtick was so much about his Great Depression, funny word play w/ double meaning. Refreshing to hear new stories,...(to me.) Unusual gentle giant Jew. My people are all tiny little pocket Jews. I was the tall one at 5 ft. 6 inches....Dad, mom and sister,.....each a lot smaller. My friends used to wonder if we bought small scaled furniture for our house. No we did not,....we struggled with normal people, sized items....Ha!

Mark makes a great point about not going too far in the direction of existentialism. I went just a little too far, and I became depressed, kind of dysfunctional and alcoholic.
