Very cool replica! Don’t see mp41s very often. Hopefully you can fix the issue with the loose barrel. Thanks for sharing!

The feline sneak attack was funny to watch, slowly creeping up behind you. 😺As for the repro, it is what it is, a wall hanger. It's like buying a Lada and expecting Porsche performance and Mercedes quality! ! 😪Can't you remove the barrel and fill the gap with a thin washer, or just glue it down if it bothers you. There is a risk, however, that you may accidentally damage or strip the screw. Arundel Arms has a Stg 44 for £7000 currently and recently sold a MP40 for about £3000. Look forwards to seeing this Denix once you've aged it - great job on the Stg - almost looks like genuine gun metal.

Cheers Al, yeh that's a good way of thinking about it regarding quality...I will sort it and I do think I've done a good job on the STG44, so thanks for that as I couldn't afford the deac prices. Regarding feline attacks...you know the score yourself...cats will not be contained...they want to be where you are...and if that means using a person as a stepping stone or a climbing frame...well thats that...I don't mind , good fun 🤣🤣

Cheers Mr Rune....I took it apart and glued it with strong glue....but be careful when doing this as the sling swivel can be put on the wrong side....thats what I did , I only noticed after the glue set. In the end I decided against trying yo get it apart again and I just left the sling off....I'm not totally happy about but it's done now and I used the sling on a denix stg44 I have 🙂🙂🙂

Denix are really sloppy on quality control, your STG44 looks great weathered, chris is weathering his M1 rifle and noticed his barrel has slight play on it not as bad as yours.

Yeh I get you...yeh Chris said he was going to have a go on it. I reckon the denix are OK for a foundation of something, as in you have to do the extra....certainly when it comes to the expensive stuff...I could never afford a real STG 44, and probably I wouldn't get one even if I had the money...bit like m38 german para helmets...they are far too expensive, even if you could afford one , it would have to be kept in a sealed environment...just in case someone breathed on it!!!....and I've got cats...who like chewing stuff 🤔🤔🤣

Hello nice video again. The rules in uk regarding replicas are absolutely absurd. Here in Sweden anyone can buy a replica I don't even think there is a age rule like on airsoft where you have to be 18 bur that's it... Great video 👍

For the metal I use scouring pad, or wire wool. For wood I sand it back...wood stain, boot polish, oil, or bit of black paint....then beat the wood up a bit. I just try mixture of all of the above...just do it in small stages and it will turn out fine 🙂

Yeh denix is hit and miss...the mp41 is average, I've got the mp44 from denix and its OK simply because the alternative is a deac and I can't afford that, but the denix version is just about acceptable. I do also have the denix ppsh41 and with a period sling and a real magazine which does fit, looks great....I aged it and stained the wood, good for display, cheers m8🙂🙂
