Think it's wishful thinking on the part of those that like said theme. It happened with Broken Dreams, why can't it happen with Written In My Face? No harm in putting said thought out there in the universe.

Man. You just gotta love Sheamus. Has been performing for years now. And he’s still putting on banger after banger. Him and Gunther have probably the greatest chemistry out of everyone there. Sheamus was my childhood favourite, and now even in adulthood he’s still my favourite. Really looking forward to that triple threat match at Mania between him, McIntyre and Gunther, three brawlers going at it. And I have high hopes for Sheamus on this one, as much as I like Gunther, Sheamus really deserves a singles championship run. He’s long overdue. And not to mention that it’d complete his championship wins to become a Grand Slam Champion Best hall of fame career recently. Won every title except the IC championship, won the Royal Rumble. And a king of the ring winner

Been an exceptional, remarkable WWE tenure. I can't say I was his biggest fan early on, thought his WWE Championship wins and runs in 2009 and 10 were missteps. Though since then - from his cash-in against Roman to The Bar, to his single resurgence during the pandemic, he truly has been a staple of wrestling excellence in terms of presence and match quality. He should win that Intercontinental Championship to complete an unbelievable 100% in-ring career if it's the last thing he does.
@floydwilson3085

@@Memonade that’s all he needs now is the intercontinental championship, than he can say that he really accomplished basically everything he could have in the WWE. Forgot to mention being a former money in the bank winner too. Only thing missing is say an Andre the Giant battle royal winner. But no one cares for that

Section L9? I was in L10 prior to speaking to Ticketmaster about a possible upgrade. Think you may have had a better angle of the in-ring action due to the tiered seating whereas I had to move from side to side whenever someone's head got in my line of sight.
@benmassey7514

@@Memonade Yes L9 I went with my brother and a mate of mine. As you said the tiered seating gave us a great view that’s why we chose it, for a good price as well, knew we shouldn’t of gone for ground because of that reason, pain in the ass from previous experience with swaying peoples heads to see the ring.

I reckon they may be aiming for him to break the Honky Tonk Man's 454-day longest record reign ever. That's something they can tout about him during commentary and promos for years, as a credential that speaks volumes; given the lineage and prestige of the Intercontinental Championship. In order to accomplish the aforementioned feat, Gunther needs to hold onto the title until at least the September 8th 2023 episode of SmackDown!. I'm sure Sheamus will win it in due course, it's his story to finish, and I don't think he's near done yet. Still time for said moment to transpire (WrestleMania XL perhaps?).

That said, Sheamus added the KOTR accolade to his list of accomplishments. Just one IC title away now from that Ultimate Grand Slam designation, here's hoping he gets it.
