Just wanted to say much respect to you for bringing these historical places back into the view of people, most of the current generation would never imagine what it was like for those who had to live through those days you are preserving those memories through your videos insuring the history is never lost

Bro, as a retired veteran, I’ve gotta say that your channel is absolutely amazing! It’s crazy how the same exact places on the planet have such different environments…it’s crazy to see them overlayed. Keep it up dude!!!!

Been watching your channel for some time--thank you. I am curious who were the soldiers who took the photos back in 1945. I attended trade school with 2 WWII vets in 1975. One was an MP at the Nuremberg trials. Wonderful man. We could never get him to talk details about his WWII experience.

And of all the pictures you’ve done this is the only place (Oldenburg) in Germany that I’ve actually visited (or at least went through on a train to Bremen).

You are right with all the locations. The first building has been the city hall in WW II and is still the city hall. The Caecilienbridge (Cäcilienbrücke) has been there till April 2022. Then it had become delapidated and should be rebuilt till 2025. In the towers of the bridge you can still see some bullet holes. The other bridge nearby is just temporary. At the Restaurant „Zur Brückenwirtin“ on the second picture you can eat very delicious knuckles and bavarian beer. 🍻 When you come to Oldenburg again, let me know and we can meet there for dinner. Greetings from Oldenburg! 👍
