Wright Brothers Lecture Series: "Rosie" Rosenthal joined the military fresh out of law school and went on to fly 53 combat missions as a B-17 pilot in World War II as a member of the 100th Bomb Group, the "Bloody Hundredth". He was shot down twice but continued on to fly each time. After the end of the war in Europe, he went back to the states to train to fly the B-29 and fight in the Pacific, but the war ended before he finish training. After the war, he returned to Europe as a lawyer, prosecuting the likes of Hermann Göring at the Nurenberg Trials.
