@@jimmynickles804 Actually, in 1984, he started out with Team America, along with another Wrestler that was later known as Sting. Together, they went to the USWA, where, for a short time, they were known as The Freedom Fighters. They went by their names back then, Jim Hellwig and Steve Borden. Not long after that, though, they teamed up with a Heel Manager, and became known as The Blade Runners. Jim Hellwig became Blade Runner Rock, and Steve Borden became known as Blade Runner Flash. In 1986, Jim Hellwig moved on to Texas, where he became known as The Dingo Warrior, and was managed by Gary Hart. Meanwhile, Steve Borden, now known as Blade Runner Flash, teamed up with "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, and stayed with Hot Stuff International until sometime in 1987. After Jim Hellwig (The Dingo Warrior) turned Face in late 1986, and dumped Gary Hart as his manager, I'm not really sure as to what happened to him, until he surfaced in the Then-WWF, re-packaged as The Ultimate Warrior, sometime in 1988, I believe. (It may have been Early to Mid 1988). He began building a very impressive Win/Loss Record, and by sometime in 1989, he had won the Intercontinental Championship from Rick Rude, who was managed by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, which, in my humble opinion, was one of the best Heel Managers of all time! At WrestleMania 6, The Ultimate Warrior won the Then-WWF World Heavyweight Championship Belt from Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea). The rest, as they say, is History.

@@jimmynickles804 Thanks for the kind words. I don't drink, but just make mine a Coca-cola! I've been watching Wrestling, on and off, since early 1979, so I've been around for awhile. My earliest years of watching Wrestling were watching Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, which was under the auspices of the old NWA. I never knew that there were other Wrestling Organizations, until I discovered the Then-WWF in 1982, and the AWA in 1986. Sadly, the AWA became defunct in either 1990 or 1991. Eric Bischoff came out of the AWA, and went to WCW, and was with them for approximately 10 years, then went to WWE in 2002, which was a major shock to me! One of saddest days in Wrestling History occurred on March 26, 2001, when WCW became defunct. It's hard for me to know that it's been slightly more than 20 years now, since that happened. As they say, though:It is what it is.

They wrestled twice back in the late 80s, and they were both beasts at that point. Warrior was the bigger man in those matches (he even military pressed Herc in fine fashion), but Hercules looks much bigger here. Warrior lost a lot of mass later in his career. He always looked shredded, but in the early days he was a freak. Kevin Nash claims when he first met Warrior he was 300 pounds, almost as heavy as Nash himself at near 7ft to Warriors 6’2. That’s bigger than Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Brock Lesnar, Lex Luger and late career Batista😮

Because Raymond (Hercules) Hernandez was a US Air Force vet when he passed away from heart disease in 2004 he was given a full military honors funeral. He was actually a much better man than he was depicted in wrestling. WWE/WWF didn't know what they had with this athlete & they should have come up with something better, more heroic for him to portray. Especially since his namesake Hercules was a hero & there was a huge Latino audience for wrestling. Tito Santana was great but Hercules? That would've gone over great. Get Vince on the phone...

Some behind the scenes info about this tour from the wrestling observer "There may be some serious legal repercussions stemming from the WWS tour of Europe that included Jim Hellwig and others. Bob Ury, who put together the tour, was furious with the behavior of certain wrestlers which included him leaving the tour and going home after the fourth stop of a ten city tour. He claimed that his company will be pursuing both civil and criminal charges against two wrestlers including claiming that one wrestler (not Hellwig) physically extorted money. Ury claimed that Hellwig, despite his huge price tag, was not a draw, although several of the stops drew big money. Hellwig had to be the biggest draw because the only other wrestler who could have possibly been a draw on the tour was Jake Roberts. Hellwig was contracted for $135,000 for 18 shows over a three week period, although Ury claimed Hellwig ended up receiving $144,500 for 10 shows because he held up local promoters. Hellwig demanded and received $67,500 before he would get on the plane to Europe and another $35,000 upon arrival in Munich before he'd do the first show, then got $22,500 and $20,000 at two other stops on tour before going into the ring. Hellwig was also scheduled for an early July tour of the Far East, but was fired from the tour this past week because he kept changing and trying to continually up what the promoters claimed was an agreed upon deal for $50,000 for a twoweek tour. Hellwig's attorney on Monday tried to get the deal put back together but at press time it looks like it won't be happening. That would free Hellwig to be available for the 7/11 WCW PPV show, but don't know if talks have re-opened regarding that or not."

Susan I am glad you think so highly of Warrior, but there is no way that there is any comparison with Randy Savage. I can see it if you said Perfect or even DiBiase, but not Warrior.

I’ve never noticed just how big Hercules was I guess because of guys like the warlord. But I am surprised to see how much bigger he was than warrior.

@@brandonbell6171 he looks bigger to me. And he wasn’t taller than warrior, that’s just the camera angle. Watch their other matches where they face off. They’re about the same height.

A lot of D Bol in that ring. Loved them both tho. And to think these two wernt nearly the behemoths that they were prior to this. Still huge tho. RIP Warrior and Herc.

I dont care about performance enhancement, i grew up watching enhanced wrestlers, they made the performances great for me and ultimately these guys created memories for me, like i said i don't really care for cheap talk about performance enhancements okay, if you want do them, no worries, just know your body's limit really! RIP for these amazing entertaining athletes that made my childhood a great time.
