I run a set of erro pro 6 mesh right now and I will never go back to a normal router. Two units is covering my 3000sqft home in every inch plus some surrounding outside area but I have a very open floor plan and no wall between the 2 units spread across the living space. I would be interested in how the Wyze hold out.

Can u have ur regular cable internet Wi-Fi and router on your main floor, add this to your second floor home office and be able to hardwire your laptop for work at home on your second floor home office? I just ordered the black Pro and I want to put it in my home office thinking that I'm going to be able to ethernet hardwire the black Pro to my laptop for work ? ❤ Hope I made the right choice

Big fan of your plain speak reviews. Now that Wyze has just released the WiFi6E Pro version of their mesh system, I look forward to you in-depth review. I suppose the “Pro” label is more marketing than actual pro features like two 2.5Gbps ports that would allow a 2Gbps+ input from an upcoming DOCSIS4.0 internet service and output to a 2.5Gbps network switch to support 1Gbps+ devices like PCs, Macs and NAS.

I need to do this yes. The pro showed up for me a few days ago. I had a bad experience with the hands on with the Wyze Mesh launch edition so I’m hoping the firmware changes have helped fix a lot. 👍. More soon! On vacay with family this week 👍

I have a dumb question since I've always just had one base router in my home but have different needs since I moved to a bigger house. Do all the mesh routers have to be within distance of communication with the main router that provides internet service? Or can the routers be spread out such that the furthest mesh router isn't within distance of the main router providing service, but is communicating with another mesh router that is. Maybe put a different way, as long as one mesh router is close enough to another mesh router will it provide internet service through the mesh router network? Hope what I'm asking makes sense.

They will signal hop from one to another as needed to make a mesh network. Having a wired “backhaul” is always nice, but not required

I’ve been partial to Motorolas for awhile. If you buy a fancy combo modem/router you’re just wasting the router portion so you can find some decent deals on just modems out there.

@@TheNetGuy Currently operating with an Xfinity XB8 (Super Sonic WiFi) Combo Box. Got the Wyze email yesterday praising the capabilities of their WiFi. I have 1.2Gb service I get 1.35Gb out of it when hooked directly to an ENET port. Yeah - routing gigabit speeds is not an easy task for any device. You may want to use the Wyze in mesh standalone mode if you have something like that doing your routing. They didn’t publicize this but I think it’s better

Never been able to get a hold of Wyze Tech Support that easily. This new product will just be another one of their products that has software issues. And this product won't help when it's always their servers that are the issues with my cameras. Wyze sells junk now!

Two things I really don't like about these Wyze products. First, each device is a full router, instead of using one router and a bunch of satellites. This means the end cost is more, if you need several for the mesh coverage. Second, these routers only have two LAN ports, most routers have at least 4. So if more then two ports are needed to connect devices via ethernet, then you need to spend more money to add ports. Where is the next video showing how to hook them up and how they compare? I can't find it.

@@TheNetGuy I have never heard of blink sync module 2. I will look it up I hate using the only the cloud for recording. I want local all the time. I saw it in the promotional video where he says we will release an update in a few months. I think it was dumb not to have either very large SD card but if they steal the cam or break it the SD card is gone and so on. I like to back up to the cloud not record to the cloud. I bet the amount of server space they are using is astronomical and so broke down for local record.
