Can you please review the auto unlock want to see if there is a delay, but do it where you go to the store and you don't touch your phone and you get close to your door and see if it is unlocked. Great review and the adjustment of the lock was a big plus, it should be buttery smooth.

Sure thing! It’s not a feature I use as I have a garage opener but I’ll give it a try and get back with you. I do have the auto-lock on all the time when you close the door but if you use this feature ALWAYS have a spare key hidden outside around your house, my wife walked out to get the mail and did not take her phone and it locked her out, I was inside to unlock it but that’s what you want a spare key for, just in case. Just get a little hidy rock or magnet key box to keep hidden.

Good thing you asked! I’ve turned the auto-unlock Geo-Fence feature on, turned on permissions to “Always track location” (on iPhone 13), and not been able to get it to auto-unlock. I moved the gateway around to see if signal was a factor but still had no luck yet. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both on. I’ll continue to try some things but no dice so far! Thankfully it’s not a feature I plan to use, everything else has worked great, but I’d be hesitant if that’s an option you must have.

@@PhilipBlank Really appreciate the effort, and I was having the same result as you, so I read a little more about it and when I received my lock was having the same issue. Living in NY is different as when you drive you don't necessarily have a garage, but what I read is that if you put a rule to open the door by putting the geo fence it's better because it the uses the remote unlock instead of the bluetooth and that has worked well for me so far, and I've only had the lock for about 2 weeks now the lock unlocks 3 times but who cares the process works, hope that helps someone as well.

@@damianramirez6425 Man great find! I continued to try out the auto-unlock within the lock, and it worked on and off but switching to the "Rule" of geo-fencing, it's worked every time I've left and come home. I won't leave it on since you have to have location services set to always tracking, but it's good to know it works. Thank you!

Not sure if i missed this but....did you say you can still use keys? If the internet or electricity goes there is a key option as backup?
@PhilipBlank

Yes to the key, from the outside you are using the existing dead bolt on your door, so you can’t tell it is a smart lock. I always keep a back-up key hidden as I use the auto-lock when the door closes. Only had to use it once though in the past 2 years when I stepped out without my phone. Locks still going strong, have one on all my exterior doors and it keeps the kid inside since I know it will always lock itself.

So if some how your account got deleted this lock will be trash won't for you or anyone buy a your on risk so they won't tell you about this

Had never heard of this! So you’re saying you accidentally deleted your account while paired to the lock and now you can’t unpair it from a deleted account? Looks like they make it so it’d can’t be factory reset from the device for security, must be done through the app. Good to know though! Don’t buy or sell one of these without ensuring it’s been unlocked from the original account or it will be bricked.

For you to review you need to actually use the features and see how they work 🤦🏻♂️

That’s fair! Did you have a particular feature in mind? I have a front and back door both using separate features and after 4 months they both work great! There are really only a few settings in the app for this lock compared to some of their other devices. The only ones I don’t use is the Auto Un-lock based off your location and the trash mode which I’ve not found a need for yet. Just let me know what you’re looking for and I can fill any gaps!

not sure if you covered it in the vid but is there an alert for low battery life?
@PhilipBlank
8 ай бұрын
There is! The app will tell you when it is getting low, I don’t recall if the door dings a warning or not though. Wyze also says it has back-up emergency power in case you forget to change them. There is a caveat through, I use rechargeable lithium batteries so the voltage stays high all the way until the batteries die, so the lock doesn’t recognize the decrease in power and eventually just stops. I just have a routine to top them off every 3-4 months or so I never have to worry. They pop out quickly, charge for an hour or 2, and then the locks are ready for the next months.

Hi, would this also work for a keyless deadbolt?
@PhilipBlank
Жыл бұрын
I would need to understand exactly what kind of keyless system you mean if it’s some other brand’s digital padlock without a keyhole, or a straight flat faced deadbolt. If it has the standard deadbolt knob on the inside I would imagine it could work, but with an electric system I’d always want to have the ability to use a mechanical back-up just in case! I keep a key hidden outside in case it auto locks my wife or I out, so far never had an issue though haha!

@@PhilipBlank awesome. Yes 👍🏽 I was asking specifically about inside deadbolts with no keyholes on the outside.
