This is my only gripe so far with them. These are not perfect by any means, but so far they are doing what I hoped they would do. Range on the motion detection is about what I expected, same with night vision. Easy installation also, targeting a specific area for the view was also easy

I did all of this with my first Wyze cam 2, and it installed very easily. The second camera will not function, when you press the setup button nothing happens, no tone, no ready to connect, just silence. I tried several times so I believe the camera is just defective.

MY WYZECAM V2 WAS WORKING FINE THEN QUIT. I UNPLUGGED IT AND PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND GOT A FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT BUT CAN'T CONNECT TO MY PHONE. ( ERROR CODE 90) NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS.

I found out for ME, that the best way to RE-SET up a camera when you have to get a NEW Router because mine broke, is to "add new camera, start over, re-name the camera" then the app removes the first name, and ALL WORKS again.

@@danieljuarez8126 lol Setting up an account is separate from physically "pushing the setup button" on the camera and hearing a voice prompt "Ready to connect". Anyone can download the app and setup an account without having to buy any Wyze product. That process just creates you an account on the server. Adding the device to the app requires you to physically push the button and waiting for the voice prompt (from the camera) "Ready to connect". The voice prompt doesn't even happen to continue on to the next step.

Hope you were able to return them for a refund. Lefun Cams are much better, so are YI cams. Wyze has horrible track record with their products, all but for the price which what good is price point when the product is poorest working on the market!

My first V2 model connected to wifi easily but the phone notifications didn't work. Returned that one and on my second unit I had trouble getting connected to wifi. I did pretty much all the steps, reset to factory specs and rebooted phone. I finally went into my router settings, turned off the security features, turned off the 5Ghz radio, and rebooted the router (via the software reboot button). After a second (or third ?) factory reset and, the router tweaks, it finally connected. Before the router tweaks I did verify the unit was trying to connect to a 2.4Ghz radio. Right away a phone notification worked as well, once. I'll give it a cool off period to try the notifications again.

I have plugged in my cam and the back light is yellow, no blinking just yellow. No matter how long I hold the setup button I get no change. I have unplugged and restarted several times using different connections and outlets, please advise.

I recommend cycle power the camera, close the app and start the process, it worked for me. Note: In my case I entered the WiFi password wrong the first time, after that it doesn’t matter how many times you start over the process with the correct password, it will time out...

I kept getting the "Connection Failed" issue when connecting the camera to the wireless network. It took me an hour to figure out that I needed to connect to the 2.4 GHz network. Yes, I knew this but I have two networks and connected to the wrong one. I also connected my phone to the 2.4 GHz network. I have had this device for over a year and not once have I ever heard a voice during set-up. I think it helps to move the camera directly around the QR code. It's a good sign when the lights blink yellow and blue, which means it's attempting to connect to your network. The last step in the set-up process should take about 30 seconds. If it's taking too long to connect, there's something wrong with the network. Don't bother waiting 5 minutes for it to connect.

I was really happy with my cams until one stopped working after firmware upgrade. I have reset a few times and I can’t get it to connect. I have been trying to get in-touch with Wyzecam and they have not responded to emails and my phone calls drop after 10 min on hold when I am number two or three in line. What is going. On?? I also ordered a version 2 when they sent an email and have no idea when it will drive. I sure hope they are not screwing customers.

This camera sucks. Very disappointed in it. I cannot connect to an unsecured network. So basically, this is a $25 paperweight. The ap needs to be fixed to allow that to be bypassed.

Ours was working fine. Then my gf dropped the camera from the counter and it wouldnt connect. So I deleted the camera and add it again to reset it. It still wouldn’t connect. It detects two different wifi names, select your wifi name but not the one with a 5 at the end, as thats for 5g. I tried that and got the same error messages that it does not support 5g. So I selected our wifi name without the 5 at the end, typed our password and voila. Connected. Hope this helps others whose been having trouble getting it to work.

You should be able to use a 2.4GHz network. Right now, there aren't publicly available routers that are missing that band. I recommend contacting the company that made your router for help with this. They should be able to get you sorted out! :)

I see many people who are not sophisticated with networking or PCs having a shit ton of difficulty with these little cams. I have 30 yrs of pc and networking experience and cannot figure out for the life of me why the god damned little sensors keep failing after I set them up. Within about 3-4 hours they’re not working anymore. Checked batteries. They’re ok. About to give the fuck up. Seriously upset about these things. Set up a dozen times. Bad hub?? Fuck if I know.

Was having the same issue. I Kept reading the comments and I found the answer. If u haven’t figured it out yet, You have to basically just start over and go thru set up again. Click ‘add new product’ and go from there.

I called Eero tech support and they turn off the 5g network so I could ad my wyze cameras. soon as I was able to connect, they turn 5g back on. My signal is the best it has ever been and all of my cameras are 100% operational. Thanks to eero tech support

absolute worst experience ever trying to get the V2 working. 4 devices and all had issues. Still not live streaming. And yes it is on 2GH not 5.8 and tried all the tips. None worked QR code impossible to load on 2 devices after 15 attempts each. Not good Wyze. Please help . I may make a youtube vid to get this resolved. Steve

2-10-24.... Come on wyze fix your issues... Sd playback had had issues for over a month or longer.. Cant pull up live cams cause the cameras willl not load... Something is gonna happen to someone or company thqt rely on your service..the damage that could have been prevented if your cameras were working like they should in a situation that could come up... I dont see wyze do well against companies like state farm going after u.. Then u send us no information that wyze is having current issues.....what a great company..sad we are from same state...most Washington people have pride and wouldn't trt to treat customers like we stupid..

If you're stuck at scanning the QR code here's the solution.... 1) put your phone on airplane mode 2) turn on Wi-Fi 3) move away as far as you can from modem and go outside the house if necessary 4) now QR code should scan immediately. I was stuck for an hour on the QR code on my V3 cameras until i saw this solution on another video for light bulb cameras not connecting to 2.4ghz. Problem solved IMMEDIATELY.

having problem with scan barcode? DO NOT listen to Wyze 'hold the Camera 5 inches', it never works! after trying several times with different distances and it still not working, you should try: #1. Reset to the factory default by press the 'Reset' button for 10 seconds, the Red light will turn off and then on with a solid Red light (not 'Ready to connect') #2. Press the 'Reset Button' to hear the 'Ready to connect' #3. Here is the important part, hold your phone with Barcode and start from the distance 20 inches (not 5 inches even with the tablet) and then very slowly move close to the Camera This worked for me!

This cam will not connect no matter what i do. Ive reset my wifi password. Ive hooked up alexa and many other cameras and gadgets but this is a piece of crap. Ill never buy from wyze again. And of course you get the run around when you call. Get what you pay for i guess. And i dont have a router some people have a modem which i unplugged and reset.

If you have a phone with a small screen like an iPhone mini, then you might have to send the QR code to a device with a bigger screen like a tablet, or print the QR code out onto a sheet of paper. Once you have a bigger version of your QR code the camera might have an easier time recognizing it. This tip helped my girlfriend and I in addition to the points about 2.4ghz WiFi and resetting the camera

Do NOT waste your money. I have other cams that work just fine without the monthly fees. I'll be hounding Amazon until they refund me and I have yet to fall for mailing the junk back. reconnecting has always been a problem with the WYZE cams for me ,wort part is the "Ready to Connect" voice that never stops!!!!! No Desktop connection is a major flaw, Don't know why its not address? what so difficult here? it a struggle to connect , I just stopped using them , very low tech silly toys , you get what you pay for . took the at least 3 years to make outdoor units, too little too late. Should be named, STUPidCAM !

Sent an email and rec'd back an email that read unmonitored email system. Cam was working fine until I had to remove power, when power was reapplied the cam will not connect to router. No changes to router or password. 2.4 Ghz, WPA2 security, QR scan rec'd still no connect. Camera was working so well I ordered another for front of house, after this issue I'm returning camera and tossing the current one in the garbage. Impossible to get reliable support.

PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!!!!! My Wyze cam is connected to the home network wi-fi. Whenever I leave home I try and view my camera on my cellphone to check in on my animals, but it will not let me. It keeps showing me connection failed or camera not connected. I have even tried my mobile data only when I'm home and it says the same thing, but as soon as I connect my mobile phone to my home network wi-fi it lets me view it perfectly fine. When I am away from home the app still sends me alerts and playback videos of motion and I'm able to view them but can't connect via live stream. Please help I need to be able to check on my animals when I'm away from home because one of them has severe anxiety every time it storms and I'm not home. Anxiously awaiting your reply.

Garbage product. I bought 1 to test before buying enough to cover the entrances to my house. Wouldn't connect 15 ft away from router. Move it right next to the router and it connected. Unfortunately if it looses connection or power, you have to reset up the camera (unless I'm missing something). That will not work for me. Sending it back! So bummed this camera won't work for my application. Looks like a great product but I will not go through each and every device after loosing power or internet. Shame....

This didn't help me at all. I received an outdoor cam for my BD and the battery level won't show more than 23% even though I charged it for 20 hours, it won't read that there is an SD card installed AND I contacted support almost a week ago to try to get this addressed, but no one has responded. This is brutal service.

Trying to connect my wise cam to a hotel Wi-Fi system that is not password-protected but has a start page I have contacted your customer service but there understanding of the English language is not that great. And when I email your people they tell me to call up customer service again last time I waited online for 32 minutesTo get customer service. I think it would be better off if you put your kids in customer service instead of the Orientals that you use. I think your kids are probably much smarter.

I just received my pan cam and the audio is terrible I can not understand anything that the other person is saying I think the speaker is defective.

i have two v2 pan cameras and they both not showing no lights at all, not even after restart or setup, and changing to working camera cords, also i did the sd update to factory reset cameras, these cameras are 49.00 each, thats 100 dollars gone in 6 months time. wheres the warranty. troubleshooting doesnt work.

my "wyze" cams didnt work after doing the most recent firm ware update pushed by wyze as being important. it ruined my web cams. i struggled in the dark to find the firmware and reinstall but still doesnt work. what kind of crap is this? i have tried all the "solutions" and tricks on the Wyze web site but still no good. probably just the time alone i have wasted on this it worth more than the cameras. you have to stop sending out faulty firmware and not supporting your products.

right .. so I`ve purchased wyze cam just to update my wyze sense hub as i have managed to reset and now i need a camera to flash it with new software where all my automations went out the window with wyze sense now I`m struggling to connect my wyze cam to my network ... did everything in my unifi controller till i`ve set up new ssid only on 2.4 ghz ... and still connection timed out after 5 seconds ... what a piece of rubbish this cam and the whole implementation of the wyze ..

I’ve been trying for MONTHS to no avail. I’ve reached out to customer service 2 times. If I could only get someone on the phone I’m sure that would help but sending emails back and forth doesn’t help when the customer has no clue of the background of networking and such. It worked for me before and just stopped. I’m so frustrated.

I tried to download the software for the Wyse cam v3 camera, they say free but they ask for my credit card. There is so much internet fraud that I don't trust giving out my credit card. Is this a possibility of fraud?

Too fast, too complicated for a no-techie. My cam was working fine. Then it lost connection (nothing was changed or moved) and now, it is useless.

My cameras are not recording events, I've checked everything, they were recording but I noticed the past couple days they haven't recorded anything. Memory card is fine and has alot of space, I've reset the cams, I've checked my settings. I don't understand

My modem broke and had to upgrade, now it is a 5.7ghz modem and I can’t use my wyze cams no. more this is unfortunate.😢

Mine keeps saying "can not find specific network name" ???? What does that mean? I already tried emailing customer service and zero help

I would like to change the internet that it's on. When I first set up the cameras I connected them to a Comcast internet , since then I have purchased a separate Verizon internet service I would like to switch them over to that it seems to be a little bit more reliable. emphasize on the( little bit) For the life of me I have looked over the app and cannot figure out how to change it. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Everyone's got 5g... This cam blows. Make it work with every wifi...totally sucks!! Put a warning on camera. Not 5G compatable.

Hey there! It's extremely rare for a router to offer 5GHz but not 2.4GHz. If you're unsure whether your router has a 2.4GHz network, you can check with your internet service provider or reach out to our customer support team at: support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Ok i have a wyze 3 we did a reset our problem is we get login to our network and move to scan there is already a QR code showing so we dont get the message from the cam saying i heard "QR Scanned we have tried a lo to different things 1 our camera setting ( the camera scans other QR codes no problem ) ( but if we do click 1 Heard the qR code and move to next the unit keeps saying ready to conect . any idea why and what to do .

All day long, all I see are "events". None of my 3 wireless cameras will go to LIVE mode. It's ridiculous how long I have to wait to see a live shot. Every single day…just waiting. Currently, I'm just looking at a snapshot of "what was" instead of seeing "what IS". How on earth do I get the cameras to go LIVE????

Hi there. It sounds like you're on the Events page. If you haven't already, tap the Home button on the bottom-left of your Wyze app. Next, tap the camera you see. This should take you to the camera's live stream page.

useless .. after a first day of use i accidentally unplugged the Wyze 3 camera but now cant reconnect. keeps saying ready to connect. the power on butting in app doesnt work. so my internet is ok password etc. it should be much easier to reconnnect

my QR scan code is to big and the bottom is covered up the "next" so it wont scan. help !! trying to research it, hopefully i can figure it out

This doesn't work. I still can not connect to my base station it doesn't find the device and then it doesn't work with the QR code. I am second from leaving a brutal review and returning.

It still won’t connect to my wifi and I’ve done everything you suggested the wifi clearly works because all the other devices are working so idk why it’s saying connection failed
