Leib nitz Some weird shit happened with YT’s copyright bots and Dream Catalogue had to do some work getting them to put the taken down videos back up. I honestly had no control over it or I wouldn’t have even taken it down in the first place. I sincerely love not only this album but honestly the comment section as well, it’s fun to read for a lot of different reasons.

So... i was playing VRchat and i don't know why but: i searched in the world list for "2814" and i was so happy to discover that someone did a small and chill apartment with the city view from this album cover, with rain effect, and of course a music player with 2814 music... It's now my "home" / spawn point, and im very happy with it

Listened to this a couple weeks ago in Tokyo. Imagine exiting the subway on a rainy night at Shibuya station, walking through the crossing and around the surrounding area with this streaming into your head for a couple hours. It's an amazing place without this aesthetic overlaid.. but with it, and in particular this album, the experience is kinda spiritual.

Currently listening to this in my Environmental Science class, May 3rd 2024, About to turn 18 years old in just a few more weeks. This year hasn’t been very kind to me so far, I almost exited this life by overdosing on my anti-depressants i thought god was torturing me and my life will continue to be painful. But I talked to my mother and we prayed together, I love my mom so much she didn’t beat cancer for nothing. I didn’t want to make her suffer anymore, that’s why I’m still alive and despite my intense feelings i still try to kinder a small amount of hope. Whoever you are, hope you all find peace. Edit: I just finished the album, oh my wow this was an experience. I loved reading the comments, slipping in and out of daydreaming to reality, the calmness I felt from this album… wow

This album is such an absolutely brilliant piece of work. It's one of the best compilations of audiovisual art I've ever listened to. It literally detaches my consciousness from my surroundings, it enables me to think freely and enables me to fully concentrate my mind. I'm a designer, and whenever I have to come up with an idea for a complex problem, I put on this album and let my thoughts revolve around it. It's amazing how many times it made me able to come up with amazing ideas (if I may say so myself). This album is some kind of amazing proof that music can do more to a brain than just make you feel happy.

12:09 Shinjuku always makes me feel like I'm floating through the deepest parts of the ocean. Something about the super low bass, bell tones, muffled shouting, and that deep bark that happens every now and then makes me feel like I'm drifting through the depths, so deep down that the pressure of miles and miles of water is keeping me from moving but also cocooning me like a blanket. Every now and then, some giant creature passes beneath me, acknowledging my presence but not actually being interested in me. Those ethereal floating noises are the very few dim shafts of sunlight that are just barely able to reach down here.

Vaporware has the fascinating ability to take your mind to places and times you never thought you could experience, and may never. It can take you forward, into the distant future. Humans have become a noble space faring civilisation, it transforms your feelings of doubtfulness as to the future of humanity into hopeful euphoric ones. It can take you back, most notably to the region of time where computation was just being commercialised, and a power like never before was placed into the hands of the people; we were just beginning our humble journey into the technological age. I am too young to have experienced this period fully but it strangely, still, invokes a sense of nostalgia.

Two years ago, room on the 31st floor of a hotel in central Shenzhen, with the luminous buildings all around as the only source of colorful light through a wall of windows, me laying on a sofa crying on myself, with visions of Tokyo that i just left the day before flowing in front of me like hallucinations, and this as the soundtrack to it all. Im fascinated about the people saying when they found this album they were depressed and generally linking it to dark feelings and times. I don’t know what times I was going through when I found this album. I was around 17-19yrs old. It was my blazing time. I really loved music that would take you into other spheres. I was also digging yung lean. If I was going through dark times at that moment, then I didn’t realize it. I might not have been the happiest, I had moments of emptiness and confusion - but being in dark times and depressed, I wouldn’t have said that. Tho shortly after at the age of 20 I was diagnosed with cancer. So maybe I WAS suffering and didn’t noticed that as that? That’s funny, how you can be so detached from yourself that you don’t even notice your pain. Anyway I’m in a much better state now.

I remember the first time I watched Blade Runner as a kid with my dad, on an old VHS. Despite watching it on an old CRT TV, it was an experience I'll never forget. Years later, while sitting in the passenger seat, on a long drive home in the night, this video came on my phone while listening to music via KZitem's autoplay feature. I was so tired and bored, I didn't expect anything at all. Listening to that first track for the first time, especially 1:30 onwards, it took me back to that moment. Immersed in the media, taking in all the sights and sounds of a dystopic, yet beautiful future beyond my wildest dreams. This album is amazing, definitely one of my all time favorites in all of music. Thank you for uploading this. Even if it's missing a track. I got to discover this album, and the entire sub-genre of Dreampunk. Quite an experience!

Remember when this album only released 50 copys of CD-r at first run, then it got hyped and keeping repressed in vinyl and sold out quickly in these years, time flies.

Up at the desk after dinner with 2814's music, writing fiction again after almost two years of nothingness. It's extremely tiring after such a long time, but now I remember why I always used to listen to Birth of a New Day while writing back in the days. Nighttime is our time, boys.

It took me a long time to really get this album but now that I do, I gotta say, it's amazing. A vaporwave album that is not plunderphonics but still ethereal to the ear. I hope that one day, I may create art like this.

I can't remember the first time I heard this album. But it was a long time ago. And it's been a long time, and I still come back to this album. I sometimes listen to it when I'm reading, when I'm trying to concentrate on something, sometimes I just lie down and think about my life, looking out the window, or just before I go to sleep. It seems to be just ambient, but it's so atmospheric, it evokes some pleasant feelings, like a nice light chill, it calms you down, it concentrates you, in general it makes you want to come back to it again and again. The album is not new, it was released in 2015. I went to school then, and I was only 11-12 years old. Then I didn't know anything about Vaporwave, Synthwave genre, and I live in a country where such trends didn't reach. And now it's 2024 and I'm still listening to it. Dreampunk is great genre. Thanks to 2814, that is Hong Kong Express and t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 for this. Music really amazes me with its magic sometimes. Even though Vaporwave as a genre is old, it stopped being popular a long time ago, I still love it just as much, its vibe and aesthetics are pleasing to me. Same goes for Synthwave and its subgenre Chillsynth, they're not new either, yet I can't stop listening to them and loving its aesthetics. Hopefully someday someone will remember this and see perhaps this comment. After all, the internet remembers everything. 真実の恋/True Love - love this track. Other 2814 albums are good too, like Rain Temple. Before the Rain and Lost in a Dream are awesome tracks from there. P.S. If there was someone who read my comment, I'm very glad that someone else listens to this genre and maybe even shares my feelings. Thank you.

This is the one album which gives me visions and tells a story to me. I'll try to describe them but no descriptions will completely describe what I saw. I feel like many of these visions were helped by the noises used in the album (Note the camera perspective of these visions are in the third person) The first song I have a vision where I'm being rushed to the hospital but I die on the stretcher. It then cuts to me in a black tunnel and I'm moving at 60mph. In this tunnel my life memories pop up around me. This continues for a bit until the sirens in the song are heard and it shows me in the ambulance. The second song I'm on a futuristic train in Tokyo. However the whole train is white and everyone is wearing full white clothes. The entire time I'm staring around at the outside where Tokyo is now a futuristic city with flying cars but all the buildings are white. At the end I get off the train and into a train station. The third song I'm not in the vision. Instead it's woman in a plain white room doing spiritualist type dances. The fourth song is probably my favorite vision. The first one which conveyed happiness. It's night time, I live in a tall house in the middle of a jungle. There's a river right below me. I walk over to the balcony with a cup of some drink (I couldn't figure out what it was). I look into the river and there are glowing fish and I look into the sky, there are fireflies everywhere. I smile the whole time looking at it. I then go to my bed still with that same smile on my face because life in that reality was great. The sixth song (the fifth is missing from here) Im on the train again but this time I get off of it and into the city of Tokyo. The city is sections where this white futuristic buildings are and sections of historic untampered with buildings. It conveys a massive change occuring. As I pass by, everyone is staring at me. Towards the end I arrive at a Tokyo futurist apartment which I live in. The seventh song I'm at beach in a city. The place seemed like Rio de Janeiro. I was wearing a dress. I run on the sand with the breeze blowing on my face. I then I find a large 3D rendered floating cube. I touch it and it gives me some sort of energy. I then go to water and lay down. In the last song I'm back at the tall house in the jungle. This time it's day time and I walk out to go swim in the river. I swim for a good bit until I decide to stop in a shallow area of the water and rest my head there. This album gives me a range of emotions and visions. It goes from sad to depressing to voided to happy to depressing again and then the last 2 songs are happy. Why do I have these visions and what do they mean? I feel like maybe it's all places in the afterlife since my first vision with the first song showed death. Overall one of the greatest albums of all time as it's the only one that does this to me.
