To put let's say CH8 from scene Monday into CH5 of scene Tuesday: Load scene Monday, copy CH8 and paste into a channel that's unused in both scenes, say CH25. Now load scene Tuesday, Safe everything except CH 25, and load scene Monday. Copy CH 25 and paste into CH5. Remove all the safes and re-save as scene Tuesday.

Ive been a subscriber to your channel since i 1st got my X32 You've taught me a lot, so thank you for putting in the time to make these videos So i 1st had an issue understanding what all the safes were but after some guidance from others, i now understand what there purpose is & this video just confirmed it I currently play in a regular band & i have all the settings saved right on my X32, in the Xedit, i dont see it in the mixer safes part, i see it on my device part, &, im currently in the middle of getting a new project together, do i need to initialize my board so it can be saved in the next slot of the scenes to save it, & will i see that scene in the mixer page of Xedit, hope this all makes sense

The x32 edit app on your computer should sync to the mixer If parameters in the mixer safes are turned on or off the app should just show you what's happening on the mixer What do you mean by your question? Why would you want to initialize the console?

@@danielkharrat 1st, on my X32 board, i have a regular scene saved for my regular band, i even have it saved on a USB stick, easy peasy, so im trying to get a new band together, but im unclear on how to make a new scene with the 2cnd project, im unclear on how to start the new project from a fresh screen, i know initializing doesnt delete the scene i already have made, so my question is, do i need to initialize the board, do my layout, & save it as a scene, once i save it, & go into scenes on my board, i should see 2 scenes, i can easily go back & forth from scene to scene, correct, or am i missing something Thanks for your guidance

@KENNETHCOOPER55 yes if it's a new project that you're starting from scratch initialize the console and do your thing then save it in a different slot then your first scene and you'll be able to toggle between them

@danielkharrat ok, fantastic, thats what i thought, now, in the X32 edit software, when i click on cues, i see scenes for the device, & i see scenes for the mixer, but i dont see my one scene in the mixer part of the X32 edit, i see it on the device scene, & i can easily load it to the board from Xedit, but i dont see it in the mixer part, im using windows 11 if that helps

@KENNETHCOOPER55 on the edit app the first 3 tabs (cues scenes snippets) are not stored on the console they are only on your computer The other ones are what actually exists in the mixer

One thing that confused me initially about scene safes in the x/m32 platform coming from the x/mr18 platform is in the 18 your selecting which parameters to load in the snapshot whereas in the 32 you’re checking which parameters NOT to load in the scene. It’s pretty self explanatory in the name “scene safes” but still. Something to be aware of if you use both. For the 32 like having scene safes for shows when bands need their own scenes I can safely select the main LR and the Aux in for house tunes so there’s no pops or clicks in the audio. Very cool.
