It is 209.99 in Amazon, checking x670 options, my first option is Gigabyte AORUS Elite Ax at 240, second Asus TUG and third option is the 650 NZXT N7 at 240 as well but this one is interesting. Biggest problem with the board is that NVME4 Port is sharing lanes with PCIe 4 Port and will be cuted down from 4x to 2x speed as soon as you plug in a card as PCIe 4 Port, but with an actual 4080/4090 Card the only other Slow you can use is the PCIe 4 Port and only if you want to extend your USB Ports with a 2x PCIe Card.
@europason2293

I hate to sperg out, but in what world this can be considered X670*E*.. Only one Gen5 M.2 slot. Where are the other eight leftover lanes? Only six USB-A ports. B650 Tomahawk has 9+1 USB-C. Z790 Tomahawk has 8+2 USB-C. Why is MSI moving backwards on rear I/O, especially on the flagship chipset? This is at best B650E, and even then I’d rather have the B650 Tomahawk over this; $100 cheaper, more USB ports, and the only downside is no 5.0x16 slot.

@@metabang03 The original d15 isn't as good as its much cheaper competitors on am5. The G2 LBC is currently the best air cooler for AM5 but doesn't come in black yet. I'd highly suggest seeing some am5 cooler comparison videos. If air cooling isn't a must for you and you want something in a similar price range, I'd recommend the Arctic Liquid Freezer III in the biggest size that fits in your case. (Be sure to check if someone else has done it before and if they needed to modify the case, this also applies to air cooling) Power supply choice also isn't something to phone in, you should do a reasonable amount of research to discern if it is reliable, and has all the connectors you need. For fans Arctic and Noctua both make good stuff, and for case I'd just look up some case tests with comparisons to other cases to see how good the CPU and GPU temperatures are (Gamers Nexus has a lot of that), and from there choose the one that performs well that you like the best and can fit anything you'd want in there.

In my opinion...this board is probably priced double what it should be. If it went sub $200, I might consider it. For me, 8 fan headers and 3 M.2 slots are overkill. I think the entire PC industry is desperately trying to make consumers accept higher prices on everything, and will try and constrain supply, especially of anything low spec, just to keep the prices high, and hope that we will eventually just accept $300 motherboards as the new normal. IMHO, this is really short sighted, as the entire industry is headed for a crash. Inexpensive options would keep at least some of us upgrading as time goes on. However, with the option of keeping your 2019 high end build going, vs dropping an eye watering $2000+ to get a rig that is only somewhat faster...I suspect a lot of people are just going to sit on the sidelines and nurse their "crippled" 30 series/AM4 or 10th gen PCs along with cheap M.2 drives and RAM upgrade (both of which are reasonably priced) for a while yet. Thanks for helping spread the word that PC hardware is overpriced, and consumers can and should avoid overspending.
@johnmclain250

All current gen motherboards are overpriced, as are CPUS and "definitely" the GPUs. But 8 fan headers is normal for a fully air cooled PC case. And yes 3 NVMe's are a little overkill. Two is the standard.

No love for ASROCK huh? ASROCK PG Lightning x670e sells for $250(OVERPRICED) which is the CHEAPEST x670e board that I've found. WAY MORE USB ports, less audio I/O, has ASROCK TB4 header for their unless you order one from Japan cannot be found, m.2 slots use screws, PCI retention clips are all the manual finger operated(PITA since PCIe5 x16 slot abuts the m.2 PCIe5 m.2 with a GINORMOUS heatsink on it making it pretty well impossible to finger operate PCIe retention clip release). Board works well, runnning a 7900X/4x16GB g.skill flare x5 @ EXPO 6000 cooled currently by a corsair h110i GT. Problem is $250USD is what I PAID for the TOP OF THE LINE, x370 Fatal1ty Pro Gaming(Taichi w/5G ether and a FUGLY color scheme, TAICHI BIOS works on fatal1ty and vice versa), problem being I was happy to pay $250USD for that x370 and was COMPLETELY ASSED to pay $250USD for PG Lightning given the features that were pared away and removed! Those debug LEDs are ducking USELESS! (fata1lty had a seven segment, more SATA ports, etc. meanwhile x670e boards yeah well fsck you, you damned peasants even if you cough up ever MORE for an ever MORE OVERPRICED x670e board you're not going to really get anything extra worth it, but hey we'll toss is a FULL PRINTED manual set...) As yo B650 go look at B650 Taichi! ~$450, or $50 cheaper than x670e board?! Why does that board even exist?! Granted it has MOST of the features of the x670e but stilll... Also PG Lightning x670e, ASROCK sent two of the chipset PCIe lanes on vacation, i.e. we were too assed to even bother to use them for anything, so duck off, and ducking die you peasant!
