You can click the link above for pricing on all the Xena locks. The battery can last up to 6-12 months. The CR2 batteries are pretty easy to find and won't run you much more than the AAA's. Also keep in mind, that the lock is fully functional if the battery dies and the lock will omit a low beep sound to warn when the battery levels are too low. ~Ali

Can you do a bypass test series of videos for your disc locks? The common way to steal a disc locked bike is to roll the bike forward (or put it in first and take off quick) to break the lock. A few Xena locks and a lot of others break this way, so if you can bypass the ignition (and thus the fork lock) you can just ride off without worrying about the disc lock. Hitting one with a 4-pound engineer's hammer is a good test of its general strength. You can't do that on the bike (you could use a prybar), but a lock shattering instead of bending tells me it's brittle and a good take-off will shatter it.

Good evening ⚠️ I am in the welding metallurgy and I grew up with grinders of all categories and my advice is to buy a disc lock according to the thickness of your disc, which means leaving no gap between the disc and the lock then it is best to close it in one of the deepest holes because with a grinder it is very easy to cut even stainless steel unless there is no space for the grinder disc to go between the two it will make the cut a bit difficult which means a few more minutes

Purchased a similar XENA lock in May 2016 while on a road trip. Picked it up at a Yamaha dealer for just under a $100. After less than 2 years and a dozen uses total, the locking pin stopped engaging. I reached out the company only to hear that the unit I had purchased must have been old stock and that it was beyond warranty. I argued my case that, while that may be the case, this lock broke after "less than two years and under a dozen uses"! Nothing they were willing to do. Offered a discount on another lock to which I have declined. Why would I spend more money on a sub standard product?? I would agree with a number of the other comments too about false alarms, I ended up taking out my batteries to avoid the embarrassment. I would NOT recommend this product, there are other options, look at them!

+kuacii13 I read about this. Apparently what happens is bike thieves will put their own lock on a bike/motorcycle/whatever, which stymies the owner. They then come back late at night, remove their lock and cut yours with a sawzall or portable bandsaw, and off they go with YOUR bike.

Mat If they want your bike they will have it.. Remind cable is ok . but a chain and lock is much better...! There is a real easy way to get thougth any disc lock no matter how good the lock is... I not going to say.. But i try it out on my own bikes and it works. 3mins i could pull my bike away. .. Disc locks are only good for stopping joyriding. . NOTHING MORE..!

FOR XX15 Very disappointed with the bluetooth function The device is beautifully made and exudes solidity, its disc lock function should not be faulted. On the other hand, like many other users, I notice that the bluetooth function is almost inoperative! 1- Very difficult to pair with my Galaxy Notes 4, I succeeded however after ten tries which allow me to declare an account and the device in the application. It took me for that to take out the battery in order to re-initialize it! 2- This done, I was able to set the alarm to maximum sound, as well as its initialization delay and its sensitivity. 3- I install the disc lock on the bike, I shake the bike, NOTHING happens! The alarm does not go off! I re-open it, move it to the disc and there it is, it is triggered. 3- Surprised by the low sound level, 58 dB maximum instead of the 120 dB announced (that also surprised me), I wanted to check my configuration on the application but unable to access the parameters of my disc lock, it gave me asks to install it on the disk, place where it is already! My 5 attempts will prove to be in vain, I give up! 4- The sound level of the alarm is laughable, we reach a maximum of 58 DB instead of the 120 announced, so that once the garage door is closed, nothing can be heard. I don't risk hearing it from my room located 15m away at night while I am sleeping. In short, the smartphone application is pitifully inefficient, the bluetooth inoperative and the noise level voiceless! I am disappointed to have chosen this model, for a lower price, the simple model without BT must have identical protection! To flee, will never replace the original alarm of the motorcycle, too imperfection for a much higher price!
