Watching a bunch of your videos on sandals and, I have to say, your honesty and example shots on the pros and cons are fantastic! Thank you

Thank you for watching. I’m glad you are finding the videos helpful! Also, the feed back is much appreciated! Right now I have a pair of Shamma chargers and toetom coyote that I am planning to review as well as a way to keep running in sandals even when it’s cold! Stay tuned!

Hey man, thanks for the review of the aqua clouds. Regarding the laces, cut them, seal the ends with a lighter, and use pliers to help clip them back together. Wiggle them away from the edge you are trying to clip into, and they go in fine. I found that leaving them dangling is pretty annoying. I have had my pair of Genisis for a few days and have trimmed them. These are my first pair of barefoot sandals. I still need to get the tension right over the top of my foot; I started way too loose and gave myself blisters after only two miles. They are tighter now and seem much better after a short walk. I will let my feet recover over the next week and try them again with the new tension. You asked about the general quality of Xero shoes. I have put a pair of HFS through a thousand miles or so. There is some wear at the ball of the foot, and my big-toe nail pushed a hole through the top; this, sadly, is common for me with soft-topped shoes. All in all, the HFS lasted me well.

I noticed they don't have half sizes for this model. If your true shoe size is a half size do you recommend sizing up or sizing down?

So I wore a 9.5us for a very long time since switching to more barefoot shoes and saddles now I wear a 10US. In my experience have size up is probably better so your good will be able to expand as it adjusts to having more freedom.

Great information, thank you for sharing! Are they slippery on wet concrete roads? I've been trying to find something i can use running in the rain

These would be a great option for running on wet roads. I don’t find them to be to slippery and they dry quickly too! Basically any sandal with a rubber foot bed are a good option for wet conditions. Happy trails!

My road sandal is the Shama cruisers and after about 550 miles they’re finally done will these work because as they are having their end-of-the-year special in there as low as $15 and somebody’s work for just road running up to say 12 miles moderate paces with some speed work mixed in, and some everything I was told by one person they said, because of the Not real lockdown field. They said they would not take these on a treadmill where my shamus I can oh but then again the bigger best price I get on the cameras right in a tight budget time right now is $59 versus 15 so curious how they would do for road running him. I had one of the very first pairs of sandals 1 million years ago but um your thoughts or somebody’s.

So I have a few thoughts on this. But first I have to mention I have not tried the Shama Cruzers yet. In my opinion The aqua cloud is a a great sandal and when they are on sale for $15 that is a steal of a deal. I still wear mine from time to time and still find them so fun and great change of pace from other sandals. I have used them on treadmills and they worked fine, but I would say they would not be my first choice. In my opinion they are happier out on real ground. They have one of my favorite outsoles and mine have held up great on pavement and trail. The foot bed does have a squish to it but overall feels good it also works on wet and dry conditions. The laces are minimal and if you are coming from a Shamma they will probably feel more freeing. The cons to consider with the aqua cloud is that they feel loose for running sandals. The very natural feeling outsole/foot bed sometimes feel to floppy and you will defiantly notice a slapping noise when you walk and run in them. The laces start out feeling stretchy but will settle in over time. But I still feel like they are loos for any “fast runs or speed work.” Last thing to note is that a lot of people on line have had quality control issues with Xero shoes. I personally haven’t, but it is something to consider when making a purchase. I wouldn’t feel right telling you specifically what to buy or not buy, but I hope this helps. Happy trails.
