Love that paint job, classy. I'm curious, I've seen these started with an external battery pack, under what conditions is that necessary?

Cod Mott only necessary when the batteries are weak. I hardly ever need a jump start. Thanks for the compliments!

@@wartowne I'm sure you are familiar with the other key player in turbine experimentals, the helicycle! Any thoughts or opinions on this breed? What made you choose Mosquito? And did you ever consider the XE285?

Cod Mott I was a huge fan of helicycle and Bj Schramm. However after his death the company has all but dissolved. There is no one innovating and improving the original design and in my opinion, that’s a deal breaker. The XET is a more fuel efficient set up than helicycle with less weight. Also uses a mechanical fuel controller rather than the electronic. No welds to break or corrode. The 285 is not a consideration for me. I would go with the MZ or a Hirth.

@@wartowne Thanks again for the responses, quite informative. I definitely feel the XET is the superior of the turbines, theyre just so hard to find on the used market, and when they do come up they hold their value so well they practically cost the same new anyway. I think the helicycle has a lot of flaws but hey, 40k for a used turbine ship, how can you go wrong lol. I'll have to read more reviews on the MZ vs 285 since I was under the impression we always want **more power**.

@@wartowne Whats the problem with the 285? They seem to have been trouble free so, far made by Suzuki I believe, de-rated etc, my friend just got one so any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.
