Now you have to hit tower though, with the plates that give gold
@Svefngengill
5 жыл бұрын
@@sander8581 Plates are a noob trap tho. From what I understand, plates aren't worth it in many circumstances. For instance, enemy bot lane backs to reset, and you're like "hey, free tower plate", you get the tower plate and the sweet 160 gold. But now the enemy bot lane is back, full hp and with items, if you back now, they just get the tower plate back for free, lane priority, and possibly even a second plate or more. If you don't back, you're just gonna get pressured out since they now have an item advantage and probably a health advantage as well, or worse yet, you're just gonna die. 160 gold aint soundin so sweet anymore, huh?
@dmncs
5 жыл бұрын
@@Svefngengill Yeah, literally plates are only worth taking when it's obvious you can't die and you can get back bot without losing any minions. Crushing your wave under their turret and going back is much better choice most of the time than overstaying for plates and laning with item/health disadvantage.

This right here is why I had to learn how to shotcall immediately after getting core Marksman mechanics down. Even more-so because I one-tricked Ashe for a long time when starting out and she remains a favorite when I can get away with no dashes or CC harder than a slow on basic abilities. People who say that ADC is totally useless or has no agency are either unaware of how to process and execute any of this, or they've been getting bad RNG on the team-mates recently who throw hard or repeatedly enough that you can't fish it back out through consistent heads-up play like this with the occasional play to swing things around. Obviously sometimes it can get really bad, but then it just matters even more when you can defy expectations and punish the enemy for writing you off as a win condition or even a role-player. I'll just add that sometimes you can tell when the opponents aren't close to as good -- or at least as on their A game as you-- and you can get away with feigning weakness by cheating a little bit on these rules. Right up to the point of forcing rotations to defend from you aggressively shoving more open lanes. The longer you can do that without getting caught, the more you soak CS from multiple lanes, the more you keep the enemy from flanking allies who don't know how not to overextend, and the more you can find cheeky openings where the enemy gets lazy on their pathing and you get to blow open the game off a pick into either a clown fiesta of a doomed fight for the enemy, or a free objective or two. Overall, this stuff is what gets you to high Gold. Figuring out how to be truly aggressive, when, and where is how you break into and through Plat.
