Months after it debuted in China, the Xiaomi 14 has finally appeared on the global stage at MWC 2024. This sleek and stylish flagship not only looks premium but feels premium too. It's the cameras though where it shines, with a triple 50MP camera setup co-engineered with Leica delivering not only an excellent point and shoot experience on the main camera, but also with the telephoto-one key weakness in their previous Xiaomi 13T Pro.
With a solid display and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip under the hood too, the Xiaomi 14 is almost the perfect package for anyone wanting a mid-sized flagship smartphone with an excellent camera. Almost, because it still has some minor things going against it. Xiaomi's much hyped about HyperOS wasn't as revolutionary as it was made to seem for instance, with the occasional bug here and there. Then there's also the stereo speakers that are fairly unimpressive all around.
With all that being said though, the key factor for the Xiaomi 14 if and when it comes to Malaysia will be its price tag. The Xiaomi 14 will need to be priced rather competitively if it wants to stand out against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S24, or even against its own Xiaomi 13T Pro from last year.
Stay tuned as we'll update this space once we know more about the Xiaomi 14's pricing and availability in Malaysia.
