I bought the 7630 during the pandemic because it was the only one shipping. Built quality was very good. But it's too high (21"), and the gap was too big.

Yeah it was definitely slim pickings during the pandemic. This bench was actually perfect for my gf and she now kind of stole it when she works out and I use my Rogue bench which lacks any comfort but it’s solid as a tank.

@Goreckfit Could I change out the horseshoe support? I was also wondering if the tube cap behind the head of padding comes off
@GoreckiFit
Жыл бұрын
The front leg is bolted on so In theory you could change it out, the only cap that comes off is the one by the seat, I’m between that small gap where the preacher curl goes in. If your talking about prying off the end caps, you could because they aren’t bolted or screwed on.

@@GoreckiFit Thats good. I'm pretty set on getting this bench , I think it could be modified regarding the tube caps coming off. I had 2 concept ideas for this bench. One involved adding a pulley wheel at the top of the tubing from behind the head rest and a cable that extends from the wheel to a kinked lever from the back like the matt wenning tricep bench. Another involved a pullover attachment which could be added where the leg curl goes or from behind the head pad to mimic the resistance curve of a commercial pullover machine. The 2nd idea might be a stretch , but if the rubber feet of the bench were also replaced with additional tubing or wood that adds a few inches in width you could attach plate pegs so you could add more stability with 1in plates so there's no tipping.

@@tylermoran1826 those sound like great modifications and way over my expertise level. I’d say if you do buy it, use Amazon if it’s still available because if you get it and decide something might not work, you can return it and get your money back.

What size are the red handles? What is the texture of them and do they come off? With the design I'm thinking of the lever has a deep hook like opening where it sits on them or my second design is a lever with holes that go through the handles and then clasped together and screwed as one piece if that made sense
@GoreckiFit

@@tylermoran1826 the handles are hollow tubing at .750 dia welded on and there is a small hole through them. They are covered w a rubber red handle that slides over it.

My issue with this bench are the wheel placement, you have them on top like I seen everyone have them, including mine that I bought used so it was pre-built and I don’t know if that’s how it was in the instruction manual and the only time I have ever seen them on the bottom was on this video on 4:07 which to me I always thought about flipping the bar so the wheel’s would be on the bottom which make more sense to me for reason being is that you don’t have to lift the opposite side of the bench so high in order for the wheel’s to make contact with the floor. The other issue is the U of the legs/feet, yes it makes it very stable but for me and this might be a tall people issue I’m only 5’11 is they get in my way when I’m benching and if I’m walking by I can’t tell you how many times I’ve nearly tripped or stumped my foot on that U. The last issue and you already mentioned it is that it doesn’t have a handle but these 3 are minor thing’s. The bench is solid. You said it’s a brand from X-mark but my bench says Keyfitness but they are literally identical. Don’t know if they went through a transition maybe someone reading this if they care enough to do a little bit of research 😅
@GoreckiFit

@@Myguiltyleisure yeah I’m not sure about the brand Keyfitness. I looked them up and they do look identical but this one is from X-mark Fitness and it looks like another company just copied the design maybe. I agree with the U shape too, my gf is short so she actually puts her feet on it for stability and works well, but definitely a tripping hazard if you’re not careful.

Will bench work with funtional trainer ?
@GoreckiFit
9 ай бұрын
Well it won’t physically connect, but yes the bench will work if you just pull it over to the functional trainer. Also depends on the size of functional trainer, if it’s a more compact in size, you might need to pull the bench out a bit more to use it.
