Metal detecting pointer review Quest Xpointer MAX vs Garrett Pro AT vs XP MI-4 vs budget Gpoint GP pointer. Quest have just released the brand new Quest Xpointer MAX in the UK. I test it against the Garrett Pro AT and a budget model, the Gpoint GP pointer and my latest and favourite, XP MI-4.
Quest Xpointer MAX has lots of great features and was my preferred model, although there is much in it between Quest Xpointer MAX and Garrett Pro AT. The budget version is basic and not great. I find the Quest MAX restrictive as only the tip detects and the XP MI-4 is great with a special discovery setting that progressively guides you to the find via sound.
I purchased the Garrett Pro AT from Amazon for £125.00 and the Quest Xpointer MAX from Joan Allen metal detectors in Westerham for £135.00 and the MI-4 from LP metal detecting (www.lpmetaldet...)
