Tires look to have good grip even in the damp conditions. Nice! Thanks for the clip!

Thank you. Yes the Bridgestone S22 and this bike's handling make wet weather riding so much confident. I just did a wet trackday last week and it wasn't scary at all

@@marmoot Thank you so much for the info! I'm thinking of upgrading to this bike and was wondering if I needed to change the tires to something like Michelin Road 5/6 for wet weather riding. Guess there will be no need for that. Thanks again, much appreciated!! 👍

I thought you meant Dirt.. nice video though. I just got my 2023 XSR900 and was thinking about taking it down the power line right of way around here.. more like a pot hole dirt trail at best. A 4WD truck might have issues. Guess I can turn around if it gets too dicey. Thanks for the inspiration, might try it.

Have you managed to turn off the ABS and how? Normal road ABS does not work off road at all and makes your brakes useless.

I leave abs as it is. Abs has saved my life before. I wouldn't want to ride without abs again. It taught me how hard I can brake, and I can brake really hard. On gravel road it works fine, I never had issues with the front, although rear kicks in every now and then, which was fine by me.

@@rendysugiarto2778 I have different experience. Front ABS disabled my brakes completely on dirt road I had no brake and crashed. I dont think is wise idea to ride with ABS on dirt road especially on bends or steep downhill is sure crash. I have written off my previous MT09 this way.

I own the 22 model, I also ride offroad and enduro bikes. I wouldn't recommend this bike for gravel at all. If you ride on a straight road you are fine, but the faster you go the more rocks will blast the exhaust and engine, not pretty if you want to be gentle to your bike. Even proper adventure bikes have pretty shitty grip with wide knobby tires. So with road tires only, you will take a huge risk going fast in corner on gravel. You can ride gravel but it does not make it a better gravel bike than a Harley-Davidson or a Ducati etc. I only use gravel roads when a D-tour will not be worth the time it takes to go around the gravel section. Hardest seat ever on a road bike, I rode a mountain pass in Italy with few kilometers of gravel section. Its not comfortable to sit down nor stand up on skinny pegs.

Thanks for this. How did suspension handle the washboards and potholes?

Very very good. Where the old one skips around when encountering washboard, mostly due to the traction control, the new one just glides through them like there's nothing
