Heard that from so many people 🤦♂️ One reason that I believe this version is better and will be even bigger than the original. The Papa Roach original version has always been one of my fav bangers, I remember crying multiple times to it, especially that one time I went to their live show. The level bar was set high. Even higher, because I truly loved the The drug in me is reimagined, it popped up on my suggestion, I watched it and I had chills. And also I am not a huge FIR fan, I like some songs from them, some A LOT, but I don't actively listen to them. This version, though, both gave me chills at first, and then tears. The lyrics are actually very dark and with this piano rendition you can feel all the darkness, in a melancholy way, while PR brings out the anger. Absolutely a wonderful song, goes straight to my "Holy moly" playlist.
