Honestly, I wasn't going to translate this song, mostly because I had already put it in my One Hour of Chilean Nationalist Music video; however, after checking the videos that contained it individually, I realized that most of them had mistakes in the Spanish lyrics, in addition to contening a version with several audio problems; so I've decided to upload this version fixing all those details.
Now, this song was made by the Chilean singer Carlos Alegria, for the Anti-Allende/Popular Unity campaign carried out by the Christian Democratic Party, who together with the Fatherland and Liberty Nationalist Front, were among the main opponents of the Marxist regime implanted by Salvador Allende.
The lyrics makes fun of Allende's first name, "Salvador", which means "Savior" in Spanish (Something quite ironic considering that his government was characterized by food shortages and violent acts carried out by communists against civilians).
Another thing to take into account are the acronyms that appear from minute 0:25 to 0:30
JAP="Juntas de Abastecimiento y Control de Precios" (Boards of Supply and Price Control), these were rationing committees created in the last years of Allende's government, in order to alleviate the chronic shortage of food and supplies.
CUP="Comités de la Unidad Popular" (Committees of the Popular Unity"), these were committees created for individual supporters of the Popular Unity.
GAP="Grupo de Amigos Personales" (Group of Personal Friends), this was the informal name given to the personal guard formed by members of the Chilean Socialist Party for the protection of Allende.

Lyrics:
Él tiene el país en quiebra,
Mejor es no hablar del cobre.
La gente cocina piedras,
¡Y eso que se llama Salvador!
La patria se ha puesto de luto,
Pan negro y mercado negro,
Todo sube por minuto,
¡Y eso que se llama Salvador!
La prepotencia del JAP,
El sectarismo del CUP,
Y el matonaje del GAP,
¡Nos tienen sin ver la luz!
El pueblo ya se cansó,
La mentira lo aburrió.
Ya que el cambio de patrón...
¡No, no; no es "revolución"!
El fracaso es evidente,
Ya no hay ni medicamentos,
Tiene hambre toda la gente,
¡Y eso que se llama Salvador!
Los capaces son cesantes,
Hoy reinan los ignorantes.
Se engaña con gran desplante,
¡Y eso que se llama Salvador!
La prepotencia del JAP,
El sectarismo del CUP,
Y el matonaje del GAP,
¡Nos tienen sin ver la luz!
El pueblo ya se cansó,
La mentira lo aburrió.
Ya que el cambio de patrón...
¡No, no; no es revolución!
El fracaso es evidente,
Ya no hay ni medicamentos,
Tiene hambre toda la gente,
¡Y eso que se llama Salvador!
La Democracia Cristiana,
Dará su respuesta en marzo,
Se escuchara fuerte el llanto,
|: ¡De ese que se llama Salvador! :| (X4)
