I was wishing Messi would move to America. That was the only sensible decision to make. But, after I heard of the ridiculous offer by the Saudis, I though his move to the Arabia was inevitable. THE MAN, however, chose MLS much to my delight. Whatever one may say about the move, it's a demonstration of a solid character he has got.

Personally , I don't think Cristiano's move to Saudi was driven by his persuit for money. He did not have other options to stay in Europe after what happened with Man.utd. just an opinion በርታ አሌክስ 👏👏👏

@@TomasGebret-gu8zl I don't think so. Sporting didn't even approached him to sign for them. They didn't ask for a possibility to bring him back. All the media stories were fake. Fabrizio said it. There is something we need to admit. He is too old for Europe now and he is absolutely right to go to Saudi.

The way he engineered his departure was a bit desperate and I don't think that alliance with Mr Pierce was any good for someone so giant like Cristiano. But I don't necessarily think it is wrong to pursue money, it's all fine with me but a bit upsetting that all these players are heading there just for the economic reason. Maybe I am being too romantic.

@@alazarasgedom5642 you're right. The only thing I found hard to understand about his departure was the necessity of that interview with Pierce Morgan. It was a complete destruction to his fame and legend among United fans and gave the chance for those media outlets who usually don't like him to further defame him. (and Alexo you're right to be too romantic about football 😂 we all are )
