I am an old timer who came in to the US in the 80s. We had a different mindset. No matter how bad was the adversity and situation, that’s no quitting in our mind. It is either bite the bullet to keep going or starve to death. You don’t know how lucky you are that you can afford to do just leave your job and still survive. How about just take a temp leave from the work?

Helloooo! Thank you for sharing your perspective and I appreciate your suggestion. I agree that different generations face unique challenges. I recognize the privilege and flexibility I have in being able to leave my job - especially considering the diverse opportunities (for making money/sustaining ourselves etc) available in today's landscape. I did take a 3-week break but I found the same challenges upon my return. After careful consideration, I made the decision to step away from my job to prioritize my mental and physical well-being.

有咗加拿大工作經驗就可以再揾比較合適嘅工作。Life is short but work is long. 休息吓先啦

Fully understand. What’s the point of immigration if you end up recreating the Asian lifestyle, right? Staying away from it for the sake of your mental well being~
