For the English speakers who are trying to figure out what they just witnessed - This is during the eruption of an active volcano known as Mt. Unzen in Japan in 1991. A pyroclastic flow is a dense, fast-moving flow of solidified lava pieces, volcanic ash, and hot gases. It is extremely hot, burning everything in its path. Such a flow can transform the landscape drastically in a short period of time. Not only does it destroy living material in its path, it often leaves behind a deep layer of solidified lava and thick ash.
Turning around and seeing this would be absolutely terrifying.....

When I was 8 years old in '88 I once met Maurice and Katja Krafft in a conference in France and even had an autograph from them on a book I purchased from them; I barely have remembrance from this day, but I just remember they were very kind. I guess this book is still somewhere in my parent's home.

Luck. Being in the right place at the right time. That's all changed now - Some of the footage of the 2011 tsunami is just crazy. The video on here of Utsuchi, Japan getting eaten by a 30 meter wave is the single craziest, most profoundly disturbing thing I've ever seen. That looks a lot like a Hollywood flick too. Here - about 5 mins in is where is gets absolute nuts. kzitem.info/news/bejne/o5Wltp6Np5SqnH4

according to wiki i dont think so. they must have been on the ridge somewhere with 40 others. " June 1991, while filming eruptions at Mount Unzen (Japan), they were caught in a pyroclastic flow, which unexpectedly swept out of the channel that previous smaller flows had been following and onto the ridge they were standing on. They were killed instantly along with 41 other people, including fellow volcanologist Harry Glicken, several firefighters and journalists also covering the eruptions. "

Scientists and journalists who gathered at a place with good shooting conditions called "fixed points" and firefighters who tried to evacuate them were swallowed by this pyroclastic flow and died. This camera must have been another point.
it all started when I watched a video of a rock rolling down a mountain and hit a tree down and then youtube start recommending a sheep fell down a mountain and then another video of a cliff broke and mass destruction and now im here

I was actually living in Japan when this happened and although I’ve always been a huge animal lover I was much more concerned for the families of the more than 40 people who were killed there that day.

Seems like that happens in every massive plasma tearing explosion. Perhaps it lends credence to the multiverse theory and we're seeing another layer through a blast generated rip in time-space.

Never forget the reason why they died there : because of a silly guy that wanted the one-more picture, and preferred to discretely quit the group and return toward danger, in fact toward death. Then, Maurice and Katia, leading the cautious retreat, discovered this ; they asked for the group to keep flying off, and returned both (they never quit themselves, specifically on front of dangers) to try and rescue the fool… ;;;-((( I'll never forget you, my beloved lost friends…
