Your English is really good, at least better than my Chinese.”
This is America, an official language. Why I need to be fluent in foreign language? I'm a Hongkonger, not Chinaese!'

I got a Canadian TESL certificate. I taught English for Hong Kong secondary school after school programs. Most of my students didn’t talk during the class and were not interested in talking English. I don’t think their level is low. It’s just because they are shy and not much encouragement or support for them. People might be teasing them when they speak, just like how Co Co Gor received the negative messages. My first language is Cantonese and didn’t speak good English when I just arrived Canada. But I’m lucky I met nice Canadians. They patiently speak and listen to me. Co Co Gor you’re open and smart. People in UK would love you and you would not have problem in communication at all.
唔好理笑你的人,講句thank you, you too一笑置之。

Nevermind what the others said, your courage and quick action are very impressive indeed. You don't need to be an English professor who studied Eng Lit. To me, you are pretty brave and act fast for your family.
I don't think so, good english is more important than anything.

Your mother tongue is not English and there is nothing wrong with it. At least you are willing to communicate well and can move around the World without any issues!!! People ought to be more RESPECTFUL and KIND to each other. Even English speaking people still have an accent!!! You have done a fine job.Keep on SMILING and stay safe.
When you live in English speaking countries for a long time, you will see the difference between before you come and you have been here for up to 2 or 5 later years. You will make significantly improvement once when you hear more about locals daily conversation. You can have start from their normal conversation first and they cam tell you more about some vocab.
It doesn’t matter if your English is not very good, People in UK won’t criticise your English. As long as people understand what you are saying, you will be ok in UK. Please remember to say “please” if you “want” something, say “ thank you” when you receive something. That was what I was told years ago when I came to UK. I only spoke broken English when I first arrived in UK, I survived.

Coco gor, some people laughing at your English is a process, no big deal, it happens You are a new immigrant, what do they expect? The importance of good English or not living in UK is all depends on your job. As a youtuber, does it require you to speak a perfect English, if the answer is NO, you are totally fine. No worries, be happy as you always do.😆 fyi, you will learn a lot of good English from your daughter in the future as she will speak native English at home, no rush. I can assure you that your English will be getting better & better as time goes by. The advantage of speaking/writing good English is when you communicate with others face to face/over the phone or writing a claim/complaint letter/emails on various issues in the future. In my experience, writing a letter of claim/complaint is always required when you encounter any dispute or unfair treatment. A good & precise letter can restore the justice/compensation for you easily. Good luck, Coco gor. You are a smart guy & will be getting used to your new life with no problem.💪👍👌

Language will be essential if you come and need to find a job! Unlike you! Your income will be from your KZitem channel. With the amount of viewers on your channel your income from KZitem could be as high as £10000 a month! This is estimated from other KZitemrs with approximately same viewer.
Please,Thank you and Sorry,呢幾句説話,係英國人最緊張教小朋友講嘅,請人做嘢一定要講 Please,人地幫咗你一定要講 Thank you,英國人自嘲話自己俾人踩到都會自動講 Sorry,唔覺意冒犯到其他人就更加要講 Sorry 啦,記住呢個規矩好重要㗎, 英文唔好,慢慢點都會有進步,自己態度唔好就唔怪得人唔接受自己。
