I do not know Japanese, I do not understand what is going on in the video, but the characters look very cool. Thank you!

Essentially... the video is presenting an alternative way to write Japanese characters. Words are written in a "tower-like" fashion, with each tower representing one word. Characters are phonetic, similarly to Hiragana or Katakana. The writing direction is from top to bottom, and from right to left. Although Japanese Hiragana/Katakana are syllabaries (different syllables have different characters), this system is more reminiscent of an alphasyllabary. Consonants and vowels have different shapes, and each sound set is formed through aggregating one consonant + one vowel. This may be done in long form (a prolongation of the central stem allows the vowels to be added after the consonant) or short form (vowels are directly stuck to the consonant they are altering). Punctuation marks have their symbols as well, and these symbols are added to the beginning and end of the sentence (much like the use of question marks in Spanish).
