Shoma is one of the most beautiful skaters I've ever seen. What a magnificent performance.

Shoma is gorgeous! Shoma is an ice artist! His body "sings". Eyes, hands, head. Magnificently expresses every nuance of music. Rediscovers its true hidden essence.....

Such an elegant skate and beautiful music. And it was adorable how he layer on the ice after
In 2019 when the world championship was held in Saitama, he was just off the podium. 4 years later, he clinched the champion title once again. What a recovery!

Thank you so much for leaving this up on KZitem! The NBC video has suddenly been taken down, and I still need to watch this for my dopamine hit every day. Brave and beautiful skating by Shoma, even though injured.

Coming back here after Shoma announced retirement. “Air” is so memorable as it is Shoma’s most successful program in competition. Wish to see Shoma continue to shine in the professional field!

Wonderful performance by Shoma Uno, he has matured marvelously as an artist, Stephane Lambiel has been a wonderful coach for him.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I need to mention Jason Brown as well: no quads, 5th in the world, what a magnificent skater.!
Deserved silver after all those under-rotations and bad edge takeoffs. I'm tired of people not calling out Shoma for URs and E!. He robbed literal Olympic medals because he wasn't called out on this, and I don't know why it's been allowed to continue.

Shoma got rotation calls on 4S and both of his 4T. Yes, he does have a flutz (marked E every time), that's why he stopped jumping lutzes years ago. Unlike Junhwan who also takes off an incorrect edge, but still jumps 3 lutzes - all in combination (3Lz+3Lo in SP and FS, 3Lz-eu-3S in FS). It's a great achievement for Junhwan to win silver with only one quad in SP and two in FS.

@@annamaria5543 Do you still think Shoma's gold was fair? There is Junhwan who, although he doesn't have greater technique or jumps than him, on an artistic level, he was tremendously underscored. In what precisely was his technique better to be about to surpass of the American skater? Unfortunately, Ilia doesn't have great artistic skills in his skating but his technique in his jumps was undoubtedly the best of ALL in this competition, how can it be possible that an under-rotated Quad Flip and without correct technique, a Quad Toe-loop in combination (and also with calls to the UR) be rewarded above the clean Quads in Ilia SP? I'm not advocating or justifying overscoring towards any skater in general, Shoma one may have had calls, "e", "!" and ">" but get awarded +4 GOE on a "Quad" Flip with full blade assist, wrong edge or outright non-existent and clear sub-rotation in not one but his TWO programs throughout the entire season, I find it somewhat unfair to the other skaters, regardless of whether or not they have a repertoire of complex jumps but DO have more artistic technique than him.

Completely agree. For people who don't know or are new to the sport, just remember: He had unfair silver in the 2018 Olympics when Fernandez really deserved it, even with the mistakes he made and the robbed bronze medal of Boyang. He had a bronze medal in 2022 Olympics STILL with a powerful negative lay-out in both programs (to the same with Kagiyama), and countless medals received in worlds, gp and gpf competitions with poor technique rewarded that I'm surely overlooking. But I guess, he comes hand in hand with having been a Eteri boy and among the favorites of the JSF.
