凡事都是取捨,one just can't win them all .

I like your sharing, Frank and factual. Thank you, and all the best!
Canaan, appreciate your candor, speaking from your heart, based on your personal experience and recollections. You are a courageous young lady, having gotten married and re-located to the UK, leaving your birthplace and your parents and other family members back in HK. Look at your life now, a doting husband and 2 gorgeous little darlings! Your are articulate, with excellent oratory skills, and you have been honest and straightforward, dispensing facts and advice to your loyal followers. Bravo!
Well done, Canaan K, like your Vlog, thanks for highlighting the life of British cultural idioms

Canaan and family excellent examples depends what kind jobs you enjoy in england but tax very high when you earn more money and how you keep your life going feel right hope you and family enjoy life god bless you and family ,
don't worry. I believe that most (if not all) of you can overcome the linguistic barriers. with the relaxation and later exit of the current lockdown, go out to supermarkets, shops and museums etc to feel and observe your surroundings, inlcuding every signage and instruction. Hear people chat. Learn English step by step. Sooner or later, you should have no problems with figuring out what the chatting is about.
Quite accurate descriptions of UK life as it is 👍🏻 Your home is where you be❤️ ones are. No matter where. The elephant may also be the icon of HSBC (大笨象)。

thanks for your sharing! it's really useful and help me a lot. :)

Thanks for your sharing. To sum up, all these because of different lifestyle. There's no free lunch, freedom or money, we have to choose. For me, I will choose freedom, hope to meet you who chose the same way in the future 😃.
We live in a quite fortunate time, back 30+ yrs ago it cost over £1 a minute to call Hong Kong. Remember calling back during CNY during when there was a family gathering in HK, every relative kept saying “Gong Hey Fat Choi” and it had already costed £5. Nowadays can make free calls without the need to buy phone cards to call HK, & can make video calls, & also no longer need to watch video tapes of recorded dramas. The wonders of technology.
